Lacklustre Hammers Face Telling Defeat Against Liverpool

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 30/11/2025 - 17:02

Doom and gloom all around the London Stadium as the day started with the appalling news of Billy Bonds’ passing away, in which a minute of applause and a dedication was played out for a gemstone and Icon of this Football club.

The Hammers honed in to halftime with the score being 0-0, a few chances had gone either way but half of the Liverpool squad decided to have swimming lessons this afternoon with half the players enjoying their time on the floor, in which the referee blatantly fell for the fishes, which triggered the tone for the remaining 45.

It could’ve gone either way, but the extortionately priced Haskabanovic scored in guaranteed fashion, and the lacklustre options we have to bring us back into the game were nothing but dire.

The impact of substitutions? Luiz Guilherme and Nichlas Fullkrug. The Brazilian playing in a similar fashion to a slot machine with two numbered correct! He made darting runs and weaved through defenders but his end product was appalling, he couldn’t pick out the final pass or a shooting opportunity.

Going one down was a blow, but a shot in the foot was felt with Paqman being sent off, initially receiving a yellow card for throwing his hands up, which is incredibly odd to see, followed by receiving a second yellow for complaining at the referee which is more understandable.

His rival Brazilian in Allison, even spoke to the ref, suggesting it was unfair! This was obviously counteracted by the ever-winging Hungarian Sob-story who relentlessly complained all day for Liverpool.

In hindsight, the red card ultimately didn’t cost us the result and it was more the lacklustre game-altering options we have, along with the combination of not being able to utilise the open space whilst Liverpool placed three players on Bowen.

Gakpo’s inevitable goal against West Ham came in the 92nd minute, which did put the final nail in the coffin, but the game had already been done and dusted as the final seconds counted down.

No gap between the Hammers and the drop zone, with Manchester United next and the doom-filled six fixtures that December has in store for Nuno.

Tough and saddening day at the office.

Coufal Slams Potter’s Man Management

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sat, 29/11/2025 - 11:03

Super Vlad recently did an interview and predominantly spoke about the Hammers, now his exit unfolded, ongoing issues at the club and also slammed the training facilities…can you blame him?

Vlad’s brutal exit was found out through a meeting that lasted less than a minute with Graham Potter.

“Potter told me the club wouldn’t be extending my contract. I asked him why and he said it was a club decision. Our conversation lasted about 30 seconds. Five years at the club for 30 seconds.”

Unfortunately for Vlad, loyalty doesn’t go very far at this Football club, and we’ve seen this happen numerous times across decades and it appears as if nothing has changed. And as much as fans rightly criticise the owners, in this instance, Coufal alludes it back to Potter, “It was the wrong manager at the wrong time. I didn’t fit into his plans and I was forced to leave.”

Seeing as the same happened to Emerson, Antonio and Fabianski, you just have to wonder why Potter was kept around so m for so long and if it was this chaotic off the pitch, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see why the team was so lost on it!

All for one and all for yourself is how pompous Potter comes across as.

"In January, Fulham made West Ham an offer, and it was a two-year contract. Potter and his sporting director, whose name I don't even remember, said no."

"I wasn't allowed to go, then I got released. It was strange."

Unknown and impactful, just what you want in a phenomenal Sporting Director!

Vladimir Coufal also felt an overwhelming amount of emotion upon his Hammers exit, speaking about crying for two days with his wife and kids and he believed that he felt “it was his fault.”

“I thought I was going to retire at West Ham. If they’d extended my contract by two years, or even given me a one-year deal with an option of a further year. I would’ve happily accepted it.”

It was never the money for Coufal, it was never sitting there and picking up the bill. He was on the cheapest wage out of anyone who didn’t renew that window, and was just someone who adored the club. We lost a good n’.

Vladimir Coufal is now being seen as one of the best defenders in the Bundesliga this season with Hoffenheim, so it just goes to show he did have something left in the tank, didn’t he?

Promise's To Live Up To For The David's

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Fri, 28/11/2025 - 11:03

With the transfer window rapidly approaching, a transfer plan will eventually become clearer to all Hammers fans, but what is known is that a striker is top of the list, with the newest name, Promise David, emerging as a serious contender to replace Fullkrug.

Promise David is a Canadian international who is not related to Jonathan David, whose saga played out for the entirety of last summer.

David has been shining in the Belgian Pro League over the last two seasons since his move to Union SG, achieving 22G/A in his first campaign, and so far, 9 G/A in 18 games, 2 of those coming in the Champions League.

He’s a Nuno-type forward coming in at 6’5, he’s got good holdup of the ball and has what many claim to be the ‘ideal’ striker mindset.

The toughest challenge to the deal is questioning whether David wants David! Union SG purchased the 24-year-old for just £600,000 two years ago and now they will be searching for a fee in the region of £15,000,000. This suspected fee would be subsidised, given that the Fullkrug money is invested back in, which he from above has claimed will happen.

Can’t make any ‘Promise’s but Sully Sullivan gets cheered up for an international and has been longing for a Canuck! He was chomping at the bit last Summer for Jonathan David, and now with another round the corner, the bullet could likely be bitten.

The Hammers are set to keep an eye on David’s performances in the near future, and they will then make a conclusive decision on whether to pursue him or not.

An eye for an eye, or a David for a David?

If ever there was a good time to be playing this lot it is now and we have to be on the front foot and put them under pressure from the off on Sunday.

No sitting off letting them have the ball so we can counter no we need to hit them hard hit them fast so they will crumble do not let them settle and pass the ball around i mean stuffed 3-0 now 4-1 in successive home games they are going to be on edge.

COYI lets win lets get 3 precious points.

Freebies For Consideration Come Summertime

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Wed, 26/11/2025 - 10:43

Despite the winter window upcoming, we all know how much certain individuals love a freebie and it’s suspected that, along with the numerous departures we’re bound to see, we’ll subsequently see numerous new faces coming in.

The Hammers have recently looked at a handful of players for January due to their contracts running out in the summer, the two that peak the top of that list are Nuno’s wingman in Adama Traore and Everton’s midfielder Garner.

But, there are more feathers to be flocked than those two, one of which is that a keen view on Lean Goretzka is occurring with West Ham, analysing what is to happen with Bayern Munich. Whilst once a regular starter and considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga, he’s since started to fall out of favour, hence the stall for a new deal to be signed.

The 30-year-old has previously been linked with West Ham, off the back of winning the Conference League. The Hammers’ interest ignited, but at that moment in time, Goretzka was in the starting squad so nothing could be reached.

The club have been bitten by the numerous Bundesliga and Krauts that’ve been purchased over the past couple of years, so perhaps ze German could be a good one!

The wages are always a consideration when it comes to the ‘not so freebies’ and obviously plays a significant factor in whether a deal can or cannot be concluded, not to mention the question of “who’s the agent” always has to be asked in these scenarios.

Critical Calls - Too Little Too Late?

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Mon, 24/11/2025 - 08:09

As time passes, it’s becoming further apparent that keeping Graham Otter for as long as the club decided to was a cataclysmic action and one to cause a surplus of contented coos.

12 matches into the season and Nuno has officially taken charge of 7 of those, accumulating a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses but the damage before hand had already been acquired due to the results, toxicity that Gardening Potter had planted as well as some of the ludicrous calls to keep certain individuals and get rid of others across the Transfer window.

Nuno’s fist fixture in charge against Everton saw us achieve a draw which was all happy dandy, but three losses proceeded and these three results were all ‘experimental’ which is exactly what pre-season is for, it’s just immensely unfortunate that in this instance, Nuno had to use Premier League games to find out his preferred side and tactic, which against Newcastle, he finally did.

Since this miraculous finding, the Hammers have been unbeaten in 3 but despite finding the form, due to the early salvation damage Nuno had to suffer, combined with Potters’ dreadful start to the season, we find ourselves heading into the next three matches needing results, which, considering it is against Liverpool, Manchester United and Brighton, is an extremely tough ask.

No surprises to many as all are familiar with the typically ‘Premier League gap’ that begins to open at some point inevitably every season, and in the club’s case, six points are vitally needed amongst the next three fixtures to reduce that growing gap...otherwise, it’ll be a destined, dreaded and inevitable 16th place finish for NES. - LN
