I've been going out with a girl, her name is Julie. But last night she said to me while we was watching telly.

This is what she said - She said, listen John I love you, but theres this bloke I fancy, I don't want to 2 time you so it's the end for you & me.

Who's this bloke I asked her? Herman she replied. Not that puff I said dismayed. Yes, but he's no puff she cried. He's a better keeper than you'll ever be.

But I know he's a moron Herman is a moron...

Ere we go 2 3 4........

One for the Grandads kids - sorry but I just could not resist it.

I thank you

What's happening? Just out of hibernation, freekin cold isn't it ? Any way got a lot of reading to do and a lot of fish to eat ,try and fatten up for the winter.
How many did we sign ,? Who did we sell ?,did Sullivan shrink any more ? ,are we going back to uppers or not.
Can't say why but I'm quietly confident about fourth coming season .

Hammers' Key To Victor-y

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Tue, 05/08/2025 - 12:54

It now finally seems that on August 5th, our Goalkeeper hunt has come to a close as the club has nearly finalised a deal for John Victor, the Brazilian Goalkeeper from Botafogo.

The deal for John Victor has now become apparent after a fee in the region of €10,000,000 (£8.6m) has been agreed, and his cheaper price tag in comparison to our other targets has been deemed 'better value' in comparison to the £25,000,000 asking for Mads Hermansen and the £30,000,000 asking for Zion Suzuki from Parma.

Negativity has spiked up since the interest in the deal due to John not being Potter's, nor the backroom staff's target, and instead being Sullivan's. Once again, fans are forced to endure a 'back-up plan' esc signing and Graham Potter for the second time this window, doesn't get his primary target of choice.

However, in light of this expected signing, it has meant that the Hammers fans and Graham Potter will now be granted the opportunity to bring in a final signing, that being a midfielder and hopefully one of his choices, not Sullivan's.

Though the imminent signature of the Brazilian isn't all doom and gloom! The 29-year-old has some good stats, with his record at Botafogo attracting the interest of Manchester United, Galatasaray and PSG. He's achieved a remarkable 50% clean sheet rate whilst also averaging conceding 0.7 goals per 90, in comparison to Areola's current expected rate of 1.71 goals per 90.

Although the Brazilian has gained these stats from an 'easier league', he also performed to a good level in the Club World Cup and hasn't attracted the named clubs above for no reason.

It's a tough one to get behind, but the truth is, West Ham needed to bring someone in this window to replace/compete with Areola.

Have we just found our key to Victory? Or have we ended up with the Samba de Ro-berto?

Confidence..Or False Hope? - Bournemouth 0-2 West Ham

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 03/08/2025 - 21:56

Our final Summer Series game kicked off, and Graham Potter decided to put out a lineup which seemed as if it would be similar to the starting squad we'd have in the Premier League.

The first 20 minutes of the fixture saw the Hammers come under severe pressure. Bournemouth would clash with the post whilst also having two more clear-cut chances elsewhere, and it could've very easily been three down for Potters men, but the scoreline remained 0-0.

Bore-draw? Not for long, Malick Diouf picked up the ball out wide, played a beautiful cross into the box and Jarrod Bowen, with finesse and composure, slotted the ball to Fuller, who made it 1-0 and wheeled away in Brazilian style, celebrating with Lucas Paqueta.

A few more chances closed the half out, Bournemouth hitting the woodwork again but this time the crossbar from a header by Zabarnyi.

The star of the half had to go to Freddie Potts, from Potter's side being on the back foot, Potts cut through the passing lanes and provided opportunities to Bowen, Diouf, Paqueta and others, which ended up with us taking the lead come the whistle, concluding the first half.

Malick Diouf would also be the other standout, as in the second half, he played a wonderful cross into the box, which Bowen converted into the bottom left corner, slicing it past Petrovic, making it 2-0 to the Hammers, and that would end up being the final score come the final whistle.

Potter's side defended well, and perhaps the exclusion of Mavropanos and Guidslow Rodriguez from the starting squad resulted in Potter's side keeping a clean sheet.

Malick Diouf and Freddie Potts both were the standouts from the fixture, Potts seems like a new signing considering the impact he's had upon the squad and Diouf seems that he's intergrated into the squad well with the wand of his boots that provide crosses to a level in which we haven't seen since prime Cresswell.

It's almost as if Potter & Macaulay's targets are talented and thought out rather than just panic buying...

Great. Just frikking great. Now watch the stampede for season tickets.
Seriously, what planet is Sullivan on? Might just as well have extended Ants or even renegotiated Ings. At least Ings wasn't a walking injury cripple.
