Time for the FA to Stand Up?

Ok, so with the replay now to be arranged on top of already re-arranged fixtures due to our run in the cup, we're facing a bit of a fixture pile up due to dates being unavailable. Unavailable? That's right. Due to UEFA rules that domestic games inc cup games are not to be played on night's when Champion's League and Europa League games are on, more fixtures have to be squeezed in to a shrinking schedule due to the insistence that all games finish on the same day in the PL.
Surely it's time the FA did something here, after all the Champions League only looks after the so called "Elite' clubs and really has no care for the also rans so why shouldn't these games be played at the same time. I have no interest in watching CL games. Don't care about the team's involved, results or the attitude amongst these teams that they're better than everyone else and therefore have the right to do as they pease at the expense of everyone else!
In forcing fans to watch the"fare" on offer rather than the excitement of the domestic campaign shows how little fans are regarded and with successful fan showing's recently in getting ticket prices reduced surely holding us all hostage to Euro games is yet another example of the powers that be pissing on the little man.
I'd much rather watch Leicester v Stoke rather than real Madrid v Genk as it has a bearing on where West Ham end up.

Should domestic leagues take a stand and demand that with the ever increasing number of Internationals and expanding European competitions that they're allowed to run their business to the best of their ability rather than be hindered by Euro bearucrats who cater only for the super rich to be honest?

Some of our supporters

Do not contribute much but do like reading the issues and the passion of our supporters, well done Nev, just a bugbear I have with some of our supporters at the recent Sunderland game, I took my 6 year old grandson for one of his first games at our beloved ground, we were having a great day in the Trevor Brooking lower, until a small group decided at half time to come and stand near us and the Sunderland fans and proceeded to abuse in the most vilest terms the Sunderland fans, woman and children included, im no angel, born and bred in custom house but to listen to these t**** non stop was hard to take, I did ask them to tone it down a bit as I had a 6year with me and there were families all around, which of course led them to give me a mouthful, this group also never watched the game but put all their energy just into baiting the Sunderland fans, I have been going to Upton Park for over 50 years and im proud to be a Hammers and East End boy ,these blokes were an absolute disgrace to themselves and our club

video evidence yes or no?

So after yesterdays match and video evidence showing we should of had a penalty and martials goal should of been disallowed because of a foul on Randolph are you for or against its use? me personally I am against it because I feel it will take something from the game by making it sterile and boring...football lives and dies on controversy the feeling of being wronged wanting to put right the decision next time you play the team it happens against..it creates debate in pubs and homes for the decisions and against them as well...this it what creates the atmosphere at grounds...it could be years before you get the chance again but its always there in your head next time next time we play this mob we will put it right and for those who the decision goes in favour of well the chance to wind up the opposition and constantly remind you about it is all part of football...video evidence may well solve this problem once and for all but to me like I said it would take something away from the game.

What do Newcastle fans really want?

Submitted by Red Neck Iron on Fri, 11/03/2016 - 18:43

I'm not having a go at the Geordies but I don't see what they really want from a manager? We were criticised for being deluded for getting rid of Sam but the truth was only ever a demand for a bit of entertainment from him, after all it is an entertainment business! It wasn't extra points we yearned for or European football just something worth watching. Well as far as Newcastle are concerned what do they want? Ok I'm not surprised Maclaren has been sacked football wasn't that bad but he had no effect on his team whatsoever. They did want money spent on the team, well this season they have spent 80 mill to no avail! 80 million! So they got that and it made no difference. They hounded pardew out but he did ok they flirted with Europe and relegation but that wasn't good enough for them. Based on what he did at West Ham he had limitations but did play decent enough football. Now Rafa is there where do they go from here if he fails too? Must admit I'm surprised he is touch that job with a barge pole. He's doomed.

been reading a manure forum site the red café and under the v west ham thread most of there fans are really worried about playing us on sunday and predict a defeat...oh how times have changed and loving it if we do what we did with a pike header from 18 yards and a Tonka penalty if memory serves me right all those years ago then I think we will again win 0-2 goals from sakho and payet this time around COYI lets show them what a class team we are...all together now we've got payet

is this the man to take songs place next season? rumour has it we have agreed a deal on a free transfer from borussia Monchengladbach(just putting my teeth back in after that!)...proven player in the bundesliga and champions league at 26 he's a steal and be on far more realistic wages than song......going to enjoy seeing what super slavs strategy is going to be this summer.
