  • Moyes Needs Divin(e) Inspiration

    Playing an ageing forward on his own as part of a 4-2-3-1 line u is Dino Moyes' only option when he sets his team up apparently, either Michail "I can't stop falling over" Antonio or Danny "I look older than your Uncle" Ings are his 'go to' players. The Hammers manager has managed to absolutely destroy the confidence of Gianluca Scamacca, just as he did with Sebastien Haller, which has seen the £35 Million summer signing pick up a series of 'niggles' and viruses since his arrival.

    With Scamacca virtually unavailable ALL season Moyes has plodded on with his one up front Dinosaur tactics which other teams 'susssed' out ages ago, Dino's reluctance to change has impacted throughout the team, not just those who are supposed to attack!

    "Try playing two up front" occassionaly has been the cry of fans and pundits alike, their voices falling on deaf ears! "We don't have ANY more strikers available" is Dino's bulk standard reply, well what about Hammers youth prodigy Divin Mubama?

    The 'Drogbaesque' Mubama put Hammers ahead on 11 minutes with a clever finish at the near post for the first of his HAT TRICK in the U-18's 6-1 win over visitors Southampton in the Youth Cup semi final. The emphatic victory shows what a depth of talent there is just waiting to be unleashed, but will Moyes use the prolific Mubamba? Will he heck!

    Perhaps Dino should remember how old he was when he was given HIS senior debut? - Ed

    So seeing the various spleens being vented across the West Ham fanbase and a lot saying they will not renew season tickets if Moyes is still there after the Fulham game an alledged rumour now coming out of the club is that they are looking into managerial options! to little to late with our fixture list to come....and funny it is only with the possibility of fans no longer parting with there hard earned that this suddenly comes to the fore.......and i will say it again who would come with the mess we are in one of the boards own making i may add....unless they offer a kings ransom to keep us up on a short term contracr why would any manager worth there salt touch us with a barge pole.

  • Irons Must Pull Trigger To Have An Earthly!

    Hammers fans who are normally notoriously 'robust' when it comes to dealing with the fall out of under performing managers were in no laughing mood Yesterday evening, despite their usual gallows humour they were finding it very hard to laugh.

    Their journey back home was miserable and devoid of hope, only anger at Moyes for still being there and the Board for keeping him! Hammers were really poor and Toon really good, the visitors utilised the vastness of the ground completely to their advantage and played as if they were the home team who had just been given a new enlarged pitch!.

    At 2-0 to Newcastle there was a break in play and Howe was furious at his players for their mistakes! Home fans will have been thinking "should have got him when he was available!" and so the club should have! West Ham players will admit that many of them had a 'howler' and that the defence that was still relatively unscathed thus far this season got a real battering.

    It was a case of the Toon playing really well and Irons playing poorly, bereft of any real confidence. Coufal was made to sit on the bench and watch Kehrer have an absolute mare, he got more skinned than a Herring factory on a busy day and was culpable for one goal and a string of very poor decisions, constantly out of place and exposing gaps on the flanks that Newcastle fully exploited.

    When Zouma scored before half time there was a small amount of hope of a comeback, those hopes were quickly extinguished as the Toon cut Hammers apart within THREE minutes of the restart. From then on oit was essentially game over. Moyes's men huffed and puffed bit to no avail.

    Pushing for the game provided the visitors with even more opportunities to score, which they took with aplomb. Some would say the eventual 5-1 scoreline flattered the visitors, whereas others might suggest Hammers got what they deserved!

    To many of the thousands leaving Stratford in the rain last night, the only person who DIDN'T get what they deserved is David Moyes, who of course deserves the SACK! Surely the Board must pull the trigger ahead of Saturday's crunch game at Craven Cottage? Get Mark Noble in and Craig Levine along with Stuart Pearce, keep Chicken Kiev and then watch the team take off, without such actions the club doesn't stand an earthly- Ed

    If we're not allready a laughing stock imo we soon will be,after all the dire results this season ,culminating in the embarrassing outcome to last nights little venture ,Moyes still has a job ,i mean its crazy most clubs in the bottom half of the table have sacked their manager, its one of the great mystries why we have not ,i think he maybe the worst in our history ,hes certainly got the biggest stuborn streak ,maybe Roader ( RIP ) and Grunt come a very close second .
    But the question remains :,why is our board so intent on playing championship football next year ?,does anyone know the make up of them ,the board, how many are there? ,how much do they get paid ?, is it a democratic vote system ie majority wins or is Sullivan commander in chief ?, i mean there must be some decenting members that want the Dino driven out or are they just a bunch of yes men happy to go along with whatever Sully decides ,either way got to say it aint lookin great ,are only hope is that its so tight down there a lot is going to depend on other fixtures .
    Each time we play i get the feeling , this is it ,they have warned him its his last chance ,but no , no big announcement on the radio sports programs, WEST HAM HAVE SAKED DAVID MOYES, its such a shame ,i was looking at all those empty seats towards the end last night and i thought to myself ,is this what its goin to look like in the chumps next year? .
    Does anyone else feel a sense of betrayal.?

    How are we all after that? i see Talksh**e in full Backing Moyes mode that fool Moose saying he cannot be replaced with so few games remaining and look at Chelski Leicester Spuds all sacked managers but got nobody in so Moyes is our best chance to stay up lol tongue buried in arse most assuredly there.

    So how and why does he keep his job? simple really the owners will not lose any money if the club go down....parachute payments the certain sales of Rice Paquetta Bowen and clearly Scamacca will offset any losses and of course they will only have half the rent to pay in the chumpionship so business wise it makes sense.....

    So be ready for a very different looking West Ham next season but dont worry Moyes will still be there so get in quick and renew those season tickets after all businesses need Customers not Fans!

  • Dog Day After TOON!

    When Al Pacino took on the role of Sonny Wortzik, a man who decides to rob a local Brooklyn bank to pay for his lover's operation but he is forced to take hostages after the heist does not go as planned, the part was seen as a very brave choice. Dog Day Afternoon was critically acclaimed but didn't do very well at the Box Office initially.

    Based on a true story, Wortzik's actions were both brave but foolhardy and didn't end well! As West Ham approach their own 'Dog Day After TOON', manager David Moyes cannot in ANY WAY be accused of being reckless or foolhardy, however he can be accused of NOT being brave.

    What does it take to make him take a risk? Sunday's offering at the Stratford Stadium was hardly inspiring, the team won in spite of Moyes and NOT because of him. The beleaguered manager has an incredible reluctance to use players he 'doesn't fancy' relying on his old cohort of 'trusted' past its instead.

    Sunday's extremely narrow victory over bottom of the table Southampton illustrated just how detached Dino's thinking has become. The game was screaming out for Max Cornet and or Gianluca Scamacca to come on, however Moyes elected to use neither of them instead.

    Any other team would have punished Hammers, fans were very lucky it was Southampton who were visitors, the victory was very narrow indeed! Tonight The newly minted and slightly arrogant Toon are the visitors and on the face of it will chew Moyes's team into little pieces unless he goes large, will he?

    Unfortunately the Dino is NOT for turning and a heavy beating could be on the cards, the fans will still turn up in force, but the 'dredge' they are forced to watch could test the most determined of supporters. Results last night went above and beyond what could be hoped for, it is a pity that there will be little or no hope for tonight's fixture! - Ed

    Does anyone else feel a bit sorry for him ?, there he was happy trundling along with Brighton ,getting noticed by the big boys and all of a sudden Chelsea come a calling ,can you imagine what he would look like if he turned them down ?, he would loose a lot of cred ,you just don't give them the middle finger , he would have been called all sorts of a coward ,he must have known he would be way out of his depth ,now he'll be lucky to get a mediocre club in the chumps ,I've always prided myself with being a good judge of character , and he seems like a genuine good bloke to me , may not be the sharpest knife in the draw where football is concerned but he didn't deserve this treatment ,he's proberbly sitting at home saying to himself "Jesus, what have i done ", almost every club in the bottom half have sacked their maneger's this season ,except us ,our board are happy with sleepwalking us into oblivion .
