  • Poor Excuses for Human Beings

    Have to say I'm glad I'm not emotionally involved in the Euro's this time around cos the scenes on the news and stories in the papers are making for depressing reading.
    How these people can consider themselves supporters, representatives of their countries or even human beings is beyond me.
    I read one of the saddest stories I can remember yesterday about the two French police officers butchered in their home, the mother in front of their 3yr old son and have to say my heart went out to that little fella. With the recent terror attacks, France is at a heightened state of emergency and when all the required manpower should be focused on protecting their country from this vile threat and the Euros should be a time for celebration, you have these pitiful people hell bent on causing trouble.
    English thugs are not exempt from blame here and the full arsenal of technology and the courts should be used in ensuring these people are brought to justice. glad our politicians are making the right noises and condemning this behaviour. Shame the same cannot be said about the Russians and their behaviour should be a primary consideration in ensuring that the 2018 WC is withdrawn.
    If there's any West Ham fans involved you're a disgrace to your club and your country!

    Chavski away on the opening day let them see payet run out at the bridge for the new season sadly for them he will be in west ham colours COYI cant wait till it all kicks off now and peps going to get a rude awakening in the prem when we go to them in our second away match.....yeah we are going to smash them all:-)

    West Ham United kick off their Barclays Premier League Fixtures with an away match at Chelsea followed by a home match against Bournemouth, the first match against Tottenham is an away tie on the 19th of November with the return match being played at the Olympic Stadium on the 6th of May.

  • So Far Sofiane Good!

    West Ham United have signed winger Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia on a three year deal on a free contract but with a 'significant' undisclosed signing on fee, he is the club's second signing this summer following that of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Havard Nordtveit, who joins on the 1st of July 2016. Feghouli, a 26 year old Algerian International, spent six seasons with Valencia scoring 42 goals in 243 appearances. Feghouliwas the 2012 Algerian Footballer of the Year, has 40 caps and has played in three major tournaments for his country. Feghouli's signing represents a bit of a coup and his services were sought after by many clubs including Everton, he fits the mould currently favoured at West Ham as a young fit player with plenty of sell on value in the future should fate dictate that course, his addition is seen as a like for like replacement for Chelsea's Victor Moses who has returned to Stamford Bridge following a relatively successful at the Boleyn
    Feghouli is quoted as saying "I am very happy to sign for the Hammers and for Slaven Bilic, the history of the club is important for me in my decision." on the O/S, a shrewd bit of business from the two Daves, and just the beginning of a formidable recruitment drive, or at least that is what the 50,000 plus season ticket holders for the new stadium will be hoping for! - Ed

  • Signing in the next 72 hours

    The insider on the official site has said we are about to sign an international winger in the next 72 hours. Rumours are saying it's either feghouli or Matt Ritchie reading between the lines and him being free I expect it to be the Valencia winger.

    The man has presence and when he talks its not the usual Bull you hear from pundits...he owned hoddle other night and he has proved how incredibly knowledgeable the man is...no wonder players want to play for him and listen to what he has to say but you can also see he is not one to be messed with.......how refreshing from the usual twats we have to listen to you know who they are!

    Well this match just shows how bad a manager Woy is. We are dominating the game playing attacking football and Russia aren't getting any chances. Takes off Rooney who was excellent in midfield and sterling and puts on his two love children Wilshire and Milner and we go all defensive inviting the Russians to attack and the inevitable happens. All Woy's fault.

    Joey O'Brien is to leave the club after five years of service, his contract is not being renewed freeing him up for a possible reunion with Sam Allardyce at Sunderland, O'Brien had not featured for the team this season which is why he was regarded as expendable. Loanees Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike and Alex Song will also return to their parent clubs at the end of their season long loan deals, and sadly Young professionals Elliot Lee, Leo Chambers, Amos Nasha, Nathan Mavila and Jordan Brown will also depart after not being offered new contracts.
    Strikers Lee and Jordan Brown, defender Chambers and Nasha all appeared for the first team while Mavilla also reached the matchday squad on one occasion. Lee, 21, made his Premier League debut against Stoke City in August 2013 and went on to make six senior appearances, scoring in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round win against FC Lusitans in Andorra in July 2015. Nasha, 20, also made his first team debut in the same game.
    Leo Chambers, 20, made three appearances for the Hammers in the Football League Cup in autumn 2013 and represented England at under 19 level, his departure is particularly sad because he showed enormous promise at one point, but succumbed to niggling injuries from which he never fully recovered. Jordan Brown made his sole appearance in the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie against Astra Giurgiu in Romania last August and has since joined German Bundesliga 2 club Hannover 96. Scholars Tim Brown, 19, and Clark Bogard and Ross Elsom, both 18, have also been released.
    There was always going to be a 'cull', sooner or later, but the young lads who have been let go will be feeling the pain, it is to be hoped that their careers can blossom elsewhere and we wish them all the very best in the future! -Ed

  • Oliver giroud and cutting your cloth accordingly

    We all think our team is the best as fans and therefore messi, Neymar and Ronaldo should be begging us to sign them. Realistically however at best we can be known as a club on the rise and maybe going places. This brings me nicely to the 2 marquee signings mentioned by sulli that we will sign this season. Well what is a marquee signing? I'm damn sure we won't all agree what constitutes that! High profile, tick, pay decent money, tick, puts bums on seats? I think anyone who cost over 20 mill would classify as that to sulli, but IMO the real big guns won't see us as viable yet. So what do we need to improve us upfront? Someone proven goal scorer over a few seasons, maybe prem proven? Someone who fits nicely into the way we want to play and most definately someone who stays fit for most of the season and available. Ok we are looking for players that excite us but this won't. Anyone consider giroud? If vardy signs for arse I see giroud as a promising fit for us. Much rather than Walcott! I don't see this as marquee myself but I do think it would be a decent call.
