It will feel a little bit surreal on Saturday ,just wondering what type of reception he will get ?,i hope its courteous

"Courteous" like he was when cupping his ear to fans who know absolute shite football when they see it and having payed vast sums of money to watch it "voiced their opinion"?!

Yeah I think they will be "equally courteos".

promoted in the first year, a day at Wembly, premiership safety. that being said, as a ST holder, the football was dire, and I mean Dire, a means to an end. we are were we are now because of him.

I will applaud him as he did a good job for us. He got us promoted and kept us up so that we could now take the next step forward.

Perfect response for me would be polite clapping followed by an absolute stonking of his team like Blackburn then maybe a chorus of only one Sam allardyce at the end. He wouldn't know what to say or do! Personally I think booing is exactly what he wants us to do, anything less doesn't fit his plan.

Sam was a mixed blessing at West Ham. If you go back to relegation and Avram Grant, well, we were in a right mess. Sam brought the kind of battlers with resolve that the team needed to get out of the championship, including Kevin Nolan. But even then the football was dire. We had a team that should not have needed to go to Wembley, but he was already too cautious. Well, Wembley was a great day nevertheless. In the prem, yes he kept us up, and the first year saw us with a little bounce from promotion. But he could not progress, and if anything, the kind of signings he was making, and the football he was playing, was leading to regression. Hence the 12th place finish last season as we dropped like a stone. But what will stick in my craw forever is his disdain for the West Ham Way and the West Ham Fans. His arrogance. His excuses and refusal to take any blame for anything. And his comments since leaving West Ham. I wouldn't boo him. Somehow the West Ham Fans must rise above that. But I sure would love to se us give them a spanking on Saturday. They ARE in good form, but so are we. Another 5 goals would be VERY VERY TASTY.

Even now he's stating how amazing his achievements were and how, almost single handedly he took us from almost certain doom to the giddy heights of stability. All about him, and not one single word of understanding about how the fans may feel. The best thing would be to ignore him completely but when you have 30k+ fans who endured yrs of mind numbing boredom and shite football, you can't expect them to all stay quiet. They've erned the right to express how they feel towards the man and for that you can't blame them. they'll be boos, claps, murmmerings of appreciation, but more than that they'll be an appreciation that he no longer manages our club.

Totally agree .. At the end of the day what as the totally Arrogant Football Dinosaur Allardyce ever actually Won in Football to date as a Manager or a Player ? .. Albeit we luckily Won the Championship Play Off Final under him .. But Blackpool were actually all over us on the day !

the best thing to do would be to totally blank him. He is so arrogant that i fully expect him to face our supports and give them a clap expecting either boos or a courteous clap back. However if our fans just go absolutely dead silent it will totally throw him.

All I hope is the shadow of the fat one doen't knock our duck off and we end up losing focus on the game itself. This would be playing in to his hands. One things for sure the Mackhams are going to be bang up for it....

Oi big boy, what's your name?

Think you have hit the nail on the head there Harry.

Booking is usually reserved for somebody that's actually done well at something and you don't like it!!!

If you broke it down to " actual facts" HE DID deliver what he was supposed to.

You can debate all day long about " how lucky he was to get us out of The Chump", " how we could have been higher in The Prem" etc etc but he came in got us promoted and kept us in The Prem which as we all know was surely absolutely vital for our future.

Booing will only serve a certain purpose.

Mainly that of ending up with egg on your face IF the result goes against us.

And secondly booing will stop us FROM CHEERING our players and create a " negative atmosphere".

Do you think that will inspire Payet etc?!

I would throw one final thought into the mix.

You might ( I don't know for sure) find that a lot of the players on our side ACTUALLY LIKE(D) him!!!

Again what purpose would booing do?!!!

Best way " all round" is to spend 90 mins CHEERING our boys.

That way if it inspires them to a resounding win will it not serve the purpose better.

Again at the end of the day he's walked away from us a very rich man and will be remaining one now and as we all know he's not going to be up nor down by boo boys having a pop.

Your way and mine might do the intended job better.

Just a thought.

Ooh good point about the negativity booing would cause Spurs. Sam allardyce is not a good reason for negativity this season!

Kev love the song but maybe one to sing at every game after Sam, when we play well. Sort of thing that could go on for years.

Glad you liked it, saw it much more as support for Slav than a slagging of Sam.

Sam Allardyce did what he was paid (very well I should add) to do.
I respect him doing his job but that is where it stops - He made no effort to bond with our support in fact did his level best to drive a wedge between him and us, clearly he had no idea of what the club is all about.
If he gets booed tomorrow he's only brought it on himself whether you agree with it or not (I think myself it's not worth it, just give Sunderland a tuning on the pitch...COYI!).
Sticking the kids out vs Forest in the cup was the breaking point for me....I could not believe what he did that day, I won't forget it.

Funny how Sunderland played on the floor while we played hoofball and long ball. Even funnier that the pitch was the worst I've seen it for quite a few years.

I was at the game (freezing cold). The first half we played on the floor and they tried the long ball with a 4-5-1 formation and we had most of the play. The second half Sunderland actually played some good football and restricted their long ball game with some decent passing which nearly gave them a draw. The second half was more even but saying we hoofed the ball (deluded hammer) is very very debatable!!!
As for Big Sam the fans chanted Super Super Slav super Slaven Bilic for most of the game and "we play on the floor". He never got any of us fans chanting for him when he was manager other than to basically get lost. So that was the fans way of a minor go at him!!! Pretty good reaction really in my book
