It seems as if virtually every Hammers game of late has been a 'seminal' one, right back from the astonishing fight back from a 3-0 deficit away to Tottenham that left Jose Mourinho emotionally scarred. Having 'done the double' over Marcelo Biesla's beautiful team by winning 'ugly', David Moyes's team confirmed their place as genuine contenders for a place in European competition next season, the only question being whether it will be a champions League place, or one in the Europa League.

Conspiracy theorists who were around in 1986 might just be starting to feel a little bit of deja vu as Hammers begin their final run in of the Barclays Premier League season. For those too young to remember, or those who weren't even born then, here is a brief resume˘of what occurred.

Having drunk the 'troubled West Ham' well dry, the media have consolidated their stance now on unsettling Hammers star Declan Rice by inventing claims that escalate on a daily basis from the outlandish, to straight out and out porkies, generated by mischievous writers who have had their collective noses put out of joint by the steady progress made by David Moyes's 'Boys of 21".

It's been a long time coming, but David Moyes looks like a man who has had a great burden lifted from his shoulders, he finally appears to have put his 'Manchester United ghosts' behind him. One of the ironies associated with this strangest of seasons, is that Moyes path to redemption has been partly paved by another United exile in the form of Jesse Lingard.

As this is the day the transfer window 'slams shut', we thought we would join in the spirit of things with a countdown clock, unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your view point
West Ham United's name will most definitely NOT be featured among the movers and shaker headlines, this is what happens when your club has been named and shamed as perrenial 'low ballers' in the transfer market.

One by one little records are being broken by a West Ham side that has been rejeuvinated by a rejeuvinated David Moyes. The Hammers manager looks like an entirely different person now from the cadava like image of 'ghostliness' that first turned up at the London Stadium, the 57 year old Scot has the air about him of someone who knows exactly what he is trying to achieve and precisely where he is trying to take his players.

West Ham United have shown desire to bring Sparta Prague protoge Adam Hlozek to the London Stadium this month, Sparta are demanding £20 million for the 18 year old striker, although the initial fee would only be around £14 million with the rest as add ons.
On the one hand it is an extraordinary fee to pay for an 18 year old, but Hammers defacto Czech target agent, Tomas Soucek, has recommended the youngster most highly, rating him as the best young forward available in Europe at this time, an impressive accolade indeed.

Inevitably since the departure of Sebastien Haller from West Ham to Ajax, speculation has been rife with regards to who, or whom, would be replacing the catastrophically unsuited to the Barclays Premier League dud. There are as you would expect names a plenty being mentioned, so we have decided to list them in a two part article, the first list of which follows and is alphabetical:

Among the horse riding fraternity there is a golden rule, if you fall off your horse, the first thing you do after having dusted yourself off is to get straight back on again, thus wiping out any fear you have of remounting while teaching the horse who is boss once and for all.
