I used to love playing knockdown ginger in the flats. We used to ring everyone's bell on the same floor then hide in the stairwell. Even moved a pair of wellies once from outside one door to the door opposite. That was funny when they both came out........HaHa
We did knock down ginger once
Stupidly tied some string to a letterbox & hid behind some bushes,we never learned knocked a couple of times but on the 3rd go the old boy sussed it & sneaked up behind us & gave us a kick up the jacksy...as you well know they could give you a slap in them days

A not so nice memory....
Me dad buying me a Man Utd kit and me wearing it in the local street game at the age of about 8 or 9. There's me holding onto the ball on the grass verge bit and someone takes me out big time and I land in a big pile of dog shite....and everyone loves the fact and I'm given my first ever nickname of 'shitty'. Not a memory I'm proud of but more real than the BS you get today me thinks.
