Assuming Carroll is still not fit to start, nor Sakho, how would you set up for Sunderland. For me: Adrian, Cresswell (not 100%), Collins, Fonte, Masuaku, Feghouli, Kouyate, Snodgrass, Lanzini, Fernandes and ... ????

Happy Birthday Mr Nixon!

Many happy returns Nev, I have slipped of the org radar in recent times but still appreciate all the work you have done with this site over many years. It has allowed me to hook up with fellow Hammers at games and out of that I have forged some good friendships. Keep up the good work and have a cracking day “old boy”

Well that's the breaking news and whilst its still to be found out who has done this it was really only a matter of time before this kind of thing happened at a major football event...fortunately the player hurt in the explosion on the Dortmund club coach has as is being reported minor injuries but obviously will be in shock.....shocking as it is these kind of events will not stop people going to see the match when its rescheduled of course you will be more wary but by standing together you will show these cowards that decent law abiding citizens will not be cowed.

why would you do that?

Furious Hammers Co-Owner Denies Spare Change Deal

David Sullivan was incandescent with rage following the publication by The Daily Express of an article claiming that he had been trying to sell part of the club, and he has every right to be annoyed! Closer examination of said article reveals the lack of cognitive reasoning by the 'writers', the maths don't add up nor does the logic stack up. Why on earth would the co-owners accept a pro rata figure which under values the club by at least 40%? It is common knowledge that energy drinks giant Red Bull offered over £500 Million for the club earlier in the year and yet The Express say the club is worth £400 Million, what's a small sum like £100 Million between friends? Really this 'level' of speculative reporting is scraping the barrel at best and spuriously under hand at worst! At least those 'writers', we will not go as far as to use the term journalists, will now be busy camping outside Arsene Wenger's home and Arsenal's training ground. - Ed

Using a highly flawed Old school bits of paper in a cap method we drew the three lucky winners! They are Cast Iron, Dicks Is The Man and Akira Andersson. No nepotism or under hand techniques were used and no animals were hurt during the draw. Would the winners please send their addresses to: admin@westhamfans.org - Ed

Rallying Call In Hammers Dressing Room Ahead Of Swansea

*"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."
Make no mistake, West Ham United's match against Swansea City at the London Stadium is pivotal to whether the club is playing football in the top tier next season or not! Defeat would see West Ham drop precariously in to the bottom three if results and games in hand go against the club. Now is the time for West Ham to man up, to set foot on the pitch and make it their own and not give the visiting team the chance to shine, while this may mean starting cautiously it is preferable to conceding early doors! Everyone involved with the club, players, staff, owners and supporters really do have to pull together for this game, a positive result would obliterate the negativity that currently surrounds West Ham United, particularly at the 'no name dome'!
It doesn't matter what notices are pinned to a board, they are made of paper, on paper Hammers should canter past a Swansea team that they trounced 4-1 at the Liberty Stadium earlier in the season, but as we all know football is played on grass,not on paper! - Ed

Is Bilic On His Way Out? The Bookies Think So!

While it is unlikely that any more EPL managers will lose their jobs before the end of this season, there are a select few who may well be in danger during the summer. One of the managers heading this unfortunate list is Slaven Bilic, anyone wishing to make the most of free bet offers like this Bet365 promotion at Bonus Codes may be interested to know that Bilic is now 7/1 on to be replaced by the club's owners. Much will depend on how West Ham finish the season, of course, as well as the availability of any potential suitors for the role.
Can Bilic Keep Hammers Up?

Before Bilic or the club can focus on the longer term, there is the small matter of working together to secure Premier League status for another season.This seems like a strange statement for a club that finished 7th and secured a place in the Europa League last year, but the fact remains that the Hammers are just six points above the relegation zone with eight games to play, a great deal is likely to be determined during the next three games, with West Ham set to host Swansea and visit bottom club Sunderland on the 8th and the15th of April respectively. Victories against their relegation rivals would leave West Ham a minimum of nine points ahead of the bottom three with just five games left, almost securing safety and creating a platform from which the club could build upon for the new season.
Would This be Enough for Bilic to Keep His Job?

While we would expect Bilic to keep the Club up, his personal future looks bleak after a miserable season. After the breakdown of his relationship with last years' star performer Dimitri Payet (and the player's subsequent transfer to Marseille during the winter), West Ham have become increasingly predictable in their attacking play and overly reliant on striker Andy Carroll. The Club have also lost the steel and focus that characterised their play last year, losing more points from winning positions than any other club in the league.
An accumulation of problems

These are sure fire signs of a manager who has lost the dressing room despite protestations from 'senior' players, with the club having regressed in terms of their performance, playing style and tactical diversity.The much vaunted move to the London Stadium has hardly helped, as it lacks the atmosphere and emotional intensity of Upton Park while also offering a larger space for superior teams to operate in. While Bilic could cope with one or two of these problems by themselves, their combined effect has made his position almost untenable as the season draws to a close, he looks a broken man isolated on the chasm of a touch line so far from the crowd who lovingly used to alternate between choruses of Super Slav and we've got Payet, how things have changed! - Ed
