Old Orgers.

Not two days after the emergence of the Reverend the site crashes....Using his Commodore 64 he probably infected the site with his worm.....joking aside nice to see another old orger coming back, wonder if anymore will take the plunge again, or like myself have changed name and now operate under a different pseudonym.

Is this our Dip?

All teams suffer a dip in form at some time in the season. If this is our dip then we are doing remarkably well...no losses and clean sheets against Manure and a Stoke team who are playing out of their skins...the goals will come again and Carroll will find his mojo it's just our turn to dip...Leicesters form will dip and so will Stokes, West Broms and the likes who we are realistically battling with to be placed above. I predict a top 8th place but no higher than 5th and in my books that is a successful first season with Bilic and a great platform for us entering the OS where I predict great things...

Mark Noble Testimonial

Good of the club to give Marky a testimonial in what is a rare show of loyalty in todays money orientated climate, even better that the proceeds will go to charity. Having been to many testimonials for our players, "Ticker" Boyce (Man Utd), Bobby Moore (Celtic: What a game THAT was), Billy Bonds, Patsy Holland (Both Tottenham), Lamps Snr (Fulham), Trevor Brooking (England XI) I'm a bit disappointed to see the club couldn't come up with something better than an old stars team. So I tried to think of a team that would tempt me to the ground on a Bank Holiday Monday:-
GK: Rob Green
RB:Repka?
CB:Rio Ferdinand
CB:Manuel DaCosta
LB:Paul Konchesky
L Mid:Diamante
Mid:Lampard Jnr
Mid: Scott Parker
R Mid: DiCanio
Forward: Tevez
Forward:Bobby Zamora

It has been pretty draw tastic from the hammers of late well actually for quite some time, so to beat an in form Southampton today was brilliant could have gone either way.

Is it me or is this site dying on its arse ?, I too am to blame, but to hardly have any enthusiasm over a very important win today is worrying anyway I wish you all a Happy Healthy new year.

Blimey. We got away with that one.
In that first half Soton played some lovely stuff. We were scrambling left right and centre.
Adrian again proved me more and more wrong. He exudes confidence and his shot stopping has to be up there with the best in the world.
Jenkinson is shot to pieces. It's a worry that Slav thought he could plug a hole at LB. why no Hendrie? Geezers a LB by trade? Gotta start somewhere.
For a player like Carl who is low, this was a poor decision.
Across the back, well, what more can you want from the ginger Pele? Immense, committed, hungry. If ever a new contract was earned, he did it.
I'm liking Ogbonna more and more. Looks savvy and hard.
Tomkins was very good considering he had his face smashed up. He's looking more and more confident and like a leader. I think he'll get a lot better.
Midfield....midfield....calling midfield?....looked like boys in the first half. Everyone of them.
Not sure how long Song needs to get fit. But Sully has played a blinder in his contract. Right now he doesn't near the first team. We are seeing "lazy, more time than he thinks he has and better than he thinks he is" Song. And we can't carry that.
Noble? MIA. Lovely passer when the ground work has been done, but I think his time has gone. Not quick enough, and with the way the league moves, he's a walking red card.
Kouyate. Not up to his usual until the 2nd half. Not good enough to coast and be casual. I hope he doesn't think he's made it. Needs to be hungrier.
Zarate was woeful. I he's hot and cold, but he's not for me. He's not a team player and as a result he tried so hard to redeem mistakes he loses focus and sight of the bigger picture.
Antonio. First half anonymous, 2nd he was a beast. There's a bit of marmite about him, poor first touch, head down...but he has something. He's risen to the crowd rather than shied away. He was lifted by the buzz to charge a ball down and show willing, and took off from that. This boy could be very good.
Valencia did well. He's a bridesmaid, but he works so hard he partners Sakho and those 2 hound everything in front of them. He's earned the time, and his ball in that set up the winner was wicked and undefendable. Good lad in my books.
As for Carroll. He's divided lots. I've always backed him as there's nothing like him in the English game. He's got faults, but no defender in the game fancies him, let alone defend against him.
A luxury for sure. But whilst we all wait for Payet, he provides a rudimentary route that many a side hate.
Well played him.
Oh Lanzini.
Yeah. He changed the whole game and is one of the biggest discoveries in recent times.
Dictated our play, bright, smart and honest.
A 'kin gem.

Finally A Belated Christmas Carroll

Michail Antonio and Andy Carroll combined to create a 'come from behind' you 2-1 victory for Hammers against a Southampton visiting team that had recently tonked Premier League aspirants Arsenal. In the season of the pantomime Andy Carroll has been cast as the Villain, but when called from the bench following a pretty disastrous first half against the Saints, he put himself about with some level of aplomb, as did Antonio, who had been on the receiving end of some very negative fan comments! Just getting ready to go to work when I had a look at couple of websites and saw that cresswell is injured and will miss the game today and Tomkins as well.....like many I cannot believe the amount of injuries we are getting and to key players.....looking around the prem probably the gooners only suffer the same as us but there situations now a lot better.....so is it just bad luck? and how much more can we take losing first team players before the defeats start to come....yes I understand some players are close to coming back but look what happened to citehs kompany at the weekend he came on and just like that he was off again.....payet/lanzini/sakho/moses/reid/carroll/tomks/cressy/ will they suffer the same fate as him when they comeback? carroll most likely! but seriously looking at the players we are missing I am amazed we have not suffered more defeats.....what will happen today? I do not no but lets hope we don't get anymore injuries.

Villa Game

Site was down during the Boxing Day tie - what's the thoughts for that match? I thought we were fairly poor, which given our injury list is part justified but we still should of performed better with the players we had against relegation fodder Villa. A point was a good result but we were desperately unlucky with the descisions. The penalty that led to their equaliser was very harsh i felt, for their player Gestede definitely played for the foul under minimal contact by Ogbonna... compare this wih the 3 penalty shouts we had in their box and if the Ref gave their penalty easily he should have exercised the same ruthlesness for us but hey ho the game mattered more for them
