Well, well, well better get Jungle Bob on standby. Apparently old Sicknote is going on I'm a celebrity get me out of here. Now, where to start with this one. So many gags so little time. I just wonder how they will refer to him. Ex premier league accident and injury prone footballer. Just hope they have lots of plaster of Paris on standby, my money is on him getting injured in the hotel and not even making the welcome party..........................

A few things to ponder...

Any news on how long our main man payet will be out? i know hes having a scan but maybe im being a bit impatient! Also anyone know whats going on with Antonio?A few of us commented on why jelavic is coming on instead of him?,jelavic is offering nothing, surely antonio is worth a try??Also i rate Zarate, but noticed when he came on (a few on here have commented on this before) he didnt half hog the ball,& decided to shoot on goal rather than pass to (imo) players that were in better positions than him!!Last thing lanzini what a player (his goal was top drawer) what a find he is....A few things to ponder people.....

thank god for the international break!

I'm sure the header to the post will be like a red rag to a bull or a BURKIE in this case but suffering two injuries one key the other more frustrating could not of come at a better time(if there ever is a good time for injuries).
we now have two weeks to hopefully get the players assessed properly and hopefully neither injury is to serious but in valencias case with it being the ankle again I fear he will be out for at least a month and with fitness maybe Christmas at the earliest will be when we see him again...as for payet I hope its not as serious as we think having seen mcCarthys tackle I cannot believe he was not red carded with a scissor lunging tackle from behind...but if payet is to miss some matches I think lanzini can step into his shoes and I it will give slav the chance to play song as he may be a stronger option to zarate who has done nothing wrong but I have a feeling it will definitely be song picked for the spuds match....hopefully payet and sakho will both be fit for that game so fingers crossed everyone.

West Ham United have revealed their financial figures for the year, which while full of positives also confirms the absolute necessity of staying in the Barclays Premier League ahead of the move to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. Karren Brady as much confirmed this in a press statement, and a closer look at the figures show just how much the board have pushed the boat out to ensure survival. All talk of reaching the Champions League will be put on hold until Hammers have reached the 40 points believed to be required. -Ed
