Class act and a dream player for us to sign, thank god for the reluctance of Marseille to sell to PSG and for our board to react quickly to seal the deal. I read a few weeks ago that Allardyce claimed that he signed him before he left? but I just couldn't believe it, given his shocking record of buying attacking players and the fact that he always so negative. I have since read that Bilic signed him and had previously tried to sing him for Besiktas, so why the bullshit from Allardyce???

We have the dubious pleasure of being reffed this evening by Anthony Taylor. One of the most card happy refs out there, and not exactly known for his Solomonic decision making!
Bets on how many cards and contentious decisions are made...

Ex Hammers Both Score, Jarvis On His Debut

Wouldn't you adam and eve it! Matt Jarvis, massively over priced winger arrived from Wolves on big money, for big money, and did relatively bugger all while at the Boleyn. As soon as Jarvis moves on loan to Norwich, he manages to achieve that 'hen's teeth' moment and actually score a goal! The other over priced import who has left the Boleyn having expensively arrived from Liverpool, Stewart Downing, scored for Championship club Middlesborough. As both players were brought in by Sam Allardyce, it is little wonder that their 'frailties' would be exposed once their mentor had departed, because as most people know, or are about to find out, "Billic doesn't like bullshit" but both players scored!- Ed

The wonderful vehicle it is....
I'm afraid unless I smother my wife I have no control of the viewing this hour, oh well.
Anyway. As I rose to procure a lambrini from the drinks cabinet, the question from the ridiculous impersonators was "who is better, ant and dec or Stephen fry"?
Now, let's get one thing clear. I love innovation and creativity. So that rules out the Geordies.
So my question is this.
In the spirit of our esteemed Cuban heeled Russian hat wearing leader who has pies in a film relating to the gangdum of eastendium...
Who would you shoot first. Ant or Dec?

Downing Struggling

It appears Stewart Downng is struggling to keep his mouth shut following his summer transfer to Middlesborough. Not content with saying he felt unloved by Bilic following Allardyce leaving but now claiming SUGO held up his transfer for several weeks before it was secured.
I fail to see what he is hoping to gain from his constant babbling unless it is to somehow undermine what by many is seen as a successful window for the Hammers inc getting a decent fee for a guy that often flattered to decieve despite some very good performances at the start of last season.
Are there some sour grapes in this as he's had to drop down a division to guarantee first team football?

Amalfitano To Be Farmed Out To Tractor Boys

Morgan Amalfitano looks as if he will be the first of several West Ham United players to be sent out on loan now the 'emergency' transfer window is open. During the window, players may be loaned from the Barclays Premier League to lower league clubs for up to three months. Championship team Ipswich Town have expressed an interest in taking Amalfitano, who has fallen out massively with Hammers manager Slaven Billic and has been banished to train away from the first team. Hopes of a reconciliation between Amalfitano and Billic, who is well known for his tough disciplinary approach, have not come to fruition, thus making the player's position at the club untenable.
30 year old Amalfitano could well end up in the same team as ex-hammer Freddie Sears, who has been a great success at Portman Road since his arrival via Colchester. Ipswich are currently third in the Championship but were beaten 3-2 at home by Brighton in their last match.
Some West Ham fans will be sorry to see Morgan Amalfitano leave the club, but he does have a growing reputation for being indisciplined and perhaps dropping down a division will show him what he is missing, and what he must do to try and rebuild bridges. - Ed
