    Another attempt by sky to get an Oscar for best tear jerker ,it'll be like west ham are only party poopers ,they will go all out on this one ,Areshole winger is going ,that virus Tierry Henry ,(dont you just love my staged French ascent) prompted by Kelly Cates will do a virtual "this is your life " and we will be in floods of tears by the third act ,Martin Tyler will drone on and on and on and on about Arseholes 22 year reign, the by now mandatory little plane will be circling above with a changed banner "goodbye Arsen thanks for the memories " instead of "Venger get the fuck out of our club you French fag!",or words to that effect ,at the end of the program there wont be a dry eye in sight and when Winger gives his!post match interview it will be something like this ,"yes it was a good 22 years i enjoyed every minute of it ,pitty west ham had to spoil the party by beating us 3-1 ,fukers "

    What was that signing all about? January is the window to sign people who will make an impact immediately, but we haven't seen hide nor hair of Hugill. I actually feel sorry for the lad. He was playing regular football, and now he will fade into anonymity. Doesn't make one bit of sense. Pretty bad business for £10M, too. I've always said SUGO were penny wise and pound poor. This is a great example of it. Please someone tell me he will come good.

    Take the game from last night we were playing stoke at home and we play one man upfront and hit the long ball....the players were standing off letting stoke have the ball and when we had it they were in our faces immediately...we were slow and very poor with the ball...stoke if they had taken more of the chances that they had would of gone in two up but thankfully they were woeful in front of goal....now given how poor the first half was you would of expected a different approach in the second half but nope more of the same and I just kept wondering to myself what the hells your game plan moyes? fernandes/Mario did not have a clue as to what they were meant to be doing and most of the time the ball just was not getting to them because we were constantly hitting a long ball to arnie which was never working as even when he got the ball the support was so slow to arrive it was unreal....still 75mins on moyes decides mmm maybe 2 upfront may be whats needed and took off the dreadful Fernandez 75mins to late!..i was not surprised when stoke took the lead as they had shown they were more than capable of doing just that throughout the game and Hart showed yet again why you cannot afford to have him in your goal on a regular basis for all he did at chelski last week he undid all that with yet another basic error....panic button press errr lets chuck sicknote on and hope he can last the 5/6 mins to play..he scored a great goal and stoke were rocking suddenly moyes eyes saw what we all new we were playing a shit team with a poor away record and goals against record but to little to late...one up front mr moyes at home and sitting back hitting a long ball to that lone striker mmmm that's why you are Marmite mate.....for all the plaudits against chelski you deserve the criticism for that display last night

  • How much and who

    Just wondering how much will need to be spent if we stay up and who we need to replace. We definately need a decent replacement for Hart, a couple of decent backs, a decent defending midfielder are definately required. I suppose it will depend on who we sell and how much money we get before the tightwads buy anyone. Must stay are Lanzini, Masuaku, Rice and Auto but I can see Chicherito going as he wants more game time and he is probably our best chance of getting some decent money. Others that need a serious look at moving on are Kouyate, Byram and possibly Reid unless he is happy to be a bench player. As much as Collins loves the club I can't see him getting a new contract so no money for him and even though I will probably be crucified for saying it but Noble will probably be another on the bench more and more next season. The one that worries me is Antonio, he has been prone to a lot of injuries over the last two seasons which will put him in the do we keep him or sell him. Carroll is a definately sell for me, I think someone said his contract has one year to go and I for one don't want to see him collect another small fortune while in the sick room for another season, with a bit of luck we might be able to find a club that will pay a couple of million for him.
    So looking at it seriously what sort of money do we need the two Dave's to spend. If we can somehow get say Twenty million for players we ship out I believe replacements of quality players to really give us a fair chance of a better season the club will need to spend at the current ridiculous price of players that will be on the market with what we get would be upwards of forty million. Will they spend or will they go for cheap options and free players.
    Interested to know the opinions of people on who should go and who should stay.

    season is coming to an end. All being well, we will survive. I think the point at Chelsea and Moyes' know how will see us stay up this season. But its not been good, not at all. I do believe Bilic would have gotten us relegated for sure, so the change was a good decision by the board but apart from that there's little else to thank them for. So come the summer, it will be a defining moment. If Moyes stays or goes, whoever is manager…..they will need backing in the transfer market. If they terminate Moyes, Id be very wary that they plan to bring in a yes man who they can continue to tell what to do and still control the buying of players. If Moyes stays, he will want players and money will need to be spent. Mario is an interesting one in this. The board's intent will be clear by the decision to buy Mario or to pass. The loan deal as i understand it gives us first refusal providing we stump up the fee. Now, if he had failed, no one would blink an eye when they don't sign him, however he's been excellent, he's oozed quality and his work rate can't be faulted either. he's exactly the sort of player needed to 'move the club' forward, in short he is quality. So I'm watching this space on Mario because i suspect it will tell us a lot about the boards intentions.

    We were asked a series of questions by Reuters News Agency regarding the club, about the next match, about the owners, the London Stadium, the season so far, the good and the ugly, and whether David Moyes will remain at the club.

    The general consensus is that the Stoke City game is a season defining match, this is especially so given the other remaining matches West Ham have to play, none of them are easy therefore three points against Stoke is regarded as essential.

    This is one of those games where the team that scores first will be in the ascendancy, a goal for Stoke early on could 'turn' the crowd. Much depends on Arnoutovic playing against his former club, if the traveling fans don't elect to stay at home and watch the match on TV then ironically their presence will probably spur him on to greater heights as they did when they gave him relentless 'stick' on his return to the bet 365 following his transfer to West Ham from Stoke.

    Stoke can definitely pose a threat, as we previously mentioned, should they manage to score the first goal then the London Stadium could become toxic although it is very unlikely that there would be a repeat of the disgraceful scenes that occurred during the 3-0 home defeat by Burnley. If West Ham score first then it would be a completely different scenario that would see the home side probably romp home to a victory.

    West Ham are not safe now, however West Bromwich Albion are gone, Huddersfield are in a downward spiral and Palace need to start turning good performances in to victories otherwise they will be sucked in to the drop zone. Swansea's resurgence has ground to a halt so they are not safe. Stoke are next in the vulnerability line and their fate will largely be dictated by their match against West Ham at the London Stadium, defeat will probably condemn them in joining West Brom and one other to Championship football next season.

    There are very few positives to take from the season, very few at all! The emergence of Declan Rice from Academy player to the first team has been a welcome positive albeit one generated as a result of a once catastrophic injury list. The arrival of 'Super Mario' has been uplifting as has the general effort shown by the players since the arrival of David Moyes in place of Slaven Billic as manager.

    The feeling among most of our members and most Hammers fans in general is one of unrest, if things had gone well this season then the feelgood factor would have over ridden the questions about funding and more importantly what to do with the dreadful eyesore of a stadium that replaced fans beloved Boleyn Ground. Things will be put on the back burner until the battle for Premiership survival is won or lost, but the discontent will not go away. Fans feel cheated, "they were sold a dream and were given a nightmare". Or in the words often sung by visiting supporters "you sold your soul for this **it hole".

    Moyes is a strange managerial problem, it is without doubt his arrival was met with much discontent, but he began to rescue the sinking ship successfully until the recent series of three defeats by three goal margins cast a doubt over his ability to keep the club afloat. For Hammers fans they ca find hope in the fact that the teams currently below them all have to play games against fellow strugglers, so essentially they will be taking points off each other. As to whether Moyes would be a popular choice to stay on as manager he is a bit of a 'marmite' character, but many view him as a dour drab manager and would hope for someone with more panache and style, perhaps someone like Slaven Billic? -Ed
