Jenkinson needs to learn or risk falling down the leagues
Forums:
Another game gone a decent point against stoke and another clean sheet with Tomkins at right back. Now while Tomkins wont offer you much going forward, he can defend which in my opinion is more important. Think I saw a stat saying we haven't conceded a goal this season while Tomkins is at right back. Now like Cresswell, Jenks loves to get forward now I see many people saying Jenks has just hit a bad run of form. What I cannot understand is how someone who has been given so many chances this season still makes the same mistakes every time he plays. The amount of goals that have been directly at the fault by Jenkinson this season almost hits double figures if it hasn't already. This all started from the Leicester and Bournemouth games where both our full backs has a torrid time. Now what irritates me most is since then you have two ends of the scale from both our full backs. You have Jenkinson who refuses to learn and Cresswell who in my opinion is getting better and better with every game and looks like Bilic has been working on his defensive side. So why can't Jenkinson also learn? Can he not learn? Or do you think Bilic isn't as interested in teaching jenks the basics. Tomkins at right back on saturday was a big statement by Bilic with reid injured. Is Jenkinsons time done at the club? One things for sure he needs to stop making the same mistakes otherwise his career will be short lived at this level.
It Would Be Insane On The Membrane To Let The 'Ginger Pele' Go!
Ex - Hammers manager Sam Allardyce, now holding the reigns at Sunderland, has earmarked James Collins as a main signing when the January transfer window opens. Collins' contract expires at the end of the season , and as such West Ham might possibly recoup £2.5 Million at the absolute max in exchange for his services and think that it might be a good bit of business, in the short term! It is well known that the 'Ginger Pele' needs game time ahead of the Wales European Championship campaign in order to cement his place in Chris Coleman's Squad, and that was a situation that seemed to warrant the combative centre back's departure from the Boleyn, however fate has dictated that Collins presence in the West Ham United squad is essential following Winston Reid's untimely hamstring injury, sustained while playing on the 'dinosaur' training pitches at Chadwell Heath.
Collins may not be an elitist managers cup of tea, but he is a player prepared to put his head on the line, literally! In today's ridiculously inflated market for players, Collins' possible exit value of around £2.5 Million is small potatoes, his services for the rest of the season warrant the club allowing 'Ginge' to run down his contract and then join another club on a lucrative free, it's the least he deserves for the stalwart performances he has put in both his tenures at the Boleyn.
Who knows, he might even be offered another year, which would of course see him stepping out a the Olympic Stadium, not a bad send off to a player's career. - EdAustin

Hammers Might Do Well To Pull Forward Lanzini Signing
Manuel Lanzini’s parent club Al Jazira have recruited former West Ham technical director Gianluca Nani as their new sports director, which could be a can of worms! There is plenty of bad blood between Nani and co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan, Nani was dismissed from his highly paid role at the club in a cloud of secrecy. Almost all of the deals that Nani oversaw were reversed as soon as possible when the two Davids took over, one or two of the deals were extremely suspicious to say the least! It would seem prudent for the West Ham hierarchy to pull forward the permanent signing of Lanzini to January rather than wait until the summer, this would head of interest from Liverpool among others, and ensure the deal goes through before Nani gets his feet comfortably under the table.
Of course the dreaded FFP will be stretched, but increased merchandising and advance season ticket deposit money from the Olympic Stadium should see the club being able to balance the books, Lanzini is a 'little jewel' that the club cannot afford to lose, and even though the deal to take him permanently was in writing, it was authorised by Abel Braga, not Nani! - Edtime of reflection
