Just read that Sakho was arrested a few days prior to the Arsenal game for assault on his girlfriend. Now that is worrying if his court appearance in September results in prosecution. Would be a big blow but not condoning anything if true. Hence major need for a striker.
In the spirit of technological advancement, is there a way of restoring the search function on ones own posts. One used to be able to go into their account and see all those posts they had created themselves? That way your not rude if someone responds and you cannot see it.
Similarly, in the active forum, there used to be a update number next to it to say how many people had commented on that post since you last logged in, that way if someone has responded to your post you could reply.
Obviously its a "nice to have" but I don't get the opportunity to log in as much these days and it would make browsing faster and more polite to those who have responded.
Now, I must go, my trimmer is charged and my testicles are long overdue a short back and sides.
Blimey it is being reported that Joey Barton is having a medical with us tomorrow. What do people reckon on this. I gather he is free agent. He does some steel but his discipline record is not . Is he a fit for us?
Hmm, Joey Barton instead of Alex Song? Bit of a strange one, but Hammers boss Slaven Billic has sanctioned a move for Joey Barton, who is a free agent and is undergoing a medical within the next 24 Hrs, apparently after a chat with Julian Dicks about cover for the holding midfield role played so brilliantly against Arsenal by debutant Reece Oxford . Song's injury worry is obviously key to this process, having been totally spanked by the cost of the 'Andy Carroll saga', co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold are more than aware of how things can go 'pete tong' when it comes to big name signings. To some Barton is a loose cannon waiting to explode, but he does actually have a very cerebral presence, and has matured of late to the point of being able to give advice to younger players. Barton was one of the very few QPR players who could hold their head up high with regard to effort and commitment to the cause, OK he is 32 years old, but has kept himself incredibly fit, Oh and of course he brings a level of 'intensity' to the table that can be scarey for the opposition! Should the move go through, it is possible Song might still also join West Ham, but maybe not until January, when Hammers would not have to pay a fee at all to FC.Barcelona.
Barton is a person of some wit and humour, a player with a bit left in the tank, and he could be Julian's wing man! - Ed
When Mauro Zarate arrived at the Boleyn Ground, he was clearly a David Sullivan signing, and as such the striker was met with a clear degree of negativity by then manager Sam Allardyce. As a result of Allardyce's alacrity, Zarate was given the cold shoulder and eventually farmed out on loan to QPR. (hammers even made a profit on the loan deal) Now the south american is being treated as the decent player he was when he first arrived, he is beginning to show what might be and what might have been if he had been given the chance to shine by playing on a regular basis instead of cameo roles, who knows why he didn't get his opportunity? Perhaps not being part of the Curtis mafia had something to do with it, or maybe because his wife is so pretty! Either way there was some skull duggery involved, but the good thing is that Mauro is back in 'the family' and with some encouragement and coaching (being told when to pass!) could become e real handful playing the fox in the box role, not dissimilar to that played by Gary Lineker, who he bears a strange similarity in appearance with, particularly Lineker in his younger years. It is to be hoped that Zarate can put the past behind him and maybe try to emulate Lineker on the pitch. Who knows? After all, this is Slaven Billic's West Ham, if anyone can get Mauro firing on all cylinders it is the Cro Man! - Ed
Hope to never hear that stupid 'football pundit' cliche ever again.
0-2 at the Emirates.
Why wouldn't I wish for that.
I predicted 0-1 at HT and 1-3 full time on WHTID site. So glad we kept a clean sheet.
Adrian was immense.
I tweeted that Chelski gave L'arse a dud Cech and it didn't go viral or wasn't copied and pasted by claret & hugh. For that I'm gutted...
May the ghost of Sam Allardyce be well and truly buried.
Just got to get shot of some of his remaining deadwood and we'll be playing the right end of Europe next season.
Thanks Slaven and your awesome coaching staff. Thanks for giving a 16 yr old a debut first game of the season at the EPL favourites home ground. He'll never forget that.
Thanks for sticking with Zarate, he will come good and learn not to take that one touch too many.
Thanks for not subbing The Ox with Maiga but please don't do the Nolan trick again.
Thanks for trying out "Superman lookalike' Tomka at RB and not JOB. Great move.
Thants enough for now, I'm sure there are many more things our Org friends can thank you for.
TBH I'd also like to thank the two Dave's for bringing you in. They cop a lot of flack, but I for one appreciate all they have done, and are doing for West Ham.
Roll on the top of the table clash with Leicester City...

Not everyone's favourite but came on and looked lively. Could he perhaps be a decent player in the fast paced high tempo style? Under sam he was being asked (on few occasions he played) to be the hold it up player rather than the run onto the pass player. Thoughts?
Wow! What a result....does anyone give match reports these days....when I used to come on here, years ago and under a different name, you could usually get a poster with first hand reviews...Would love to know if performance was as good as result...all that you get off 5live and talkshite is how bad arse must have been to have been turned over by unworthy west ham.
