What should have been a triumphant return from a potentially serious knock, has turned into a complete fiasco for Hammers defender Kurt Zouma due to the 'Kittygate' images circling on social media! Only West Ham can do it, it seems as if as soon as some players walk through the door they leave their brains behind.
We don't want to go into the details which have already been covered explicitly by the red tops, neither are we so hypocritical that we want to either pass judgment or defend the French International's actions. Obviously it is completely unacceptable to 'kick the cat, slap it or throw shoes at it, it is a 'sin' in the UK that gets far more publicity than a brutal assault on another human being would.
It can be argued that a cat is a defenceless little thing and that Zouma's actions were reprehensible, the player has already apologised sufficiently for the Police and the RSPCA to be satisfied that the Cat in question is in no further danger and that the 'attack' was a one off event that the player deeply regrets.
At the risk of 'Catmail' and without condoning Zouma's actions in any way, it has to be said that 'someone' at the Org chased a 'little kitty' round the room with 'intent to harm' after the the blighter jumped up a fully laden Christmas tree causing it to fall directly on to an expensive new monitor and cracking it's screen.
Utterly unforgivable, but also very understandable, Cat lovers can be content though safe in the knowledge that Zouma will receive punishment a plenty apart from the Club and the Animal League, in the form of opposition supporters. It would be a great surprise if some 'Watford wag' hasn't already come up with a nasty little ditty about Zouma and the Cat, expect to hear some 'choice' banter tonight at the Ground or on BT Sport. - LN

I'm sorry, but this is
I'm sorry, but this is indefensible and totally unacceptable.
Zouma is a first class dick and deserves all he gets.
Footballers don't seem to get the whole anti social media thing. They live their lives on it and I don't know why. Yes it's the modern world and it's not for me, I get that.
Now I have no affinity with cats. I don't much care for them. I am a dog lover. But that makes no difference. Zouma is clearly not wired up right, but for more reasons than abusing a pet.
If he was still at Chelski we'd be lambasting him and calling him everything from a pig to a dog. Well I don't care. He plays for us and I think he's a dick, end of rant!!
With you totally Boogers
What an idiot,as if someone getting hold of that video is not going to post it for the whole social media circus to see! Typical Westham,we now have to play Diop!!;) Seriously though like you I'm more of a dog lover but doesn't mean it's ok to kick a cat up the jacksy & film it...the least he will get is absolutely slaughtered by fans away & home! What a prat
Not seen the video
Nor in all honesty would i ever want to but hearing enough about it all day today there is simply no way out of what the club has to do IMO the man has to be sacked simply put you cannot defend the indefensible....imagine the effect it will have on his teammates how could you go into work and work alongside someone who has done such a dispicable act of cruelty who seemingly involved his family in his act of cruelty on a defenceless animal....Zouma is a fool and has been caught out and now he sees the possibility of losing his career and becoming a pariah(in this country at least)he comes out with the whole i'm sorry speel.
Don't believe him or trust him for a second rest assured it's not the first time that pet has suffered at that mans hands....but again yet another brain dead footballer who thinks they are something special a role model pfff you can kick a ball around a field better than most fair enough but role model do me a favour....i said it with Arthur when he spat in that players face and now this from Zouma neither should be seen in Claret n Blue again Bobby must be turning in his grave....but nowadys its not about morals values decency no its about money and West Ham will not wite off £30million plus wages but they should.
I completely agree bike, in
I completely agree bike, in fact ive had some serious thinking to do about my nearly 60 years suporting west ham ,ive come to the conclusion that i will go on following my beloved west ham but this guy is dead to me and if action isnt taken by the club i will have to rethink my decision ,futher more your article Nev gives me the impression that you are making light of it ,you make the comparison with human on human abuse wich is farcical you go on to say that it is indefensible, if this is the case should nt it be condemned, any one callable of abuse of animals belongs at the bottom of a scum laden pond .if this guy does himself a serious injury tonight or soon i hope to God its very ,very painful.
