Adriane wants to leave
Forums:
I thought this was going to happen I know Hart is a good keeper but I am wondering whether it was worth loosing Randolph and Adriane. He is under contract till the end of 2018 but that dont mean nothing nowadays. I certainly don't think West ham will let him go for under 7 mill if Randolph went for 5. And to be honest I'm gutted he is going at all. Now we've got to replace him with a keeper that wants to play 2nd fiddle to Hart. I think we will go in for Rob Green need some one with experience cos we have 2 tough old matches against Citeh.

7 million for fletcher, good deal or not?
Forums:
Just been reported that we have accepted a 7 million bid from boro for Ashley fletcher. My initial reaction was good deal. Then I thought which would be regarded as the better deal 7 mill for fletcher, 7 mill for sakho or 7 mill for Carroll. Fletcher would mean we got a bloody good price back on a player that has showed next to nothing upfront as a striker altho he hasn't had loads of opportunities. Sakho our best striker hardly ever plays but looks a perfect fit and paid very little in striker terms and currently looking fit enough to feature in our 1st match of the season.or Carroll, scores goals when fit but isn't fit anywhere near enough doesn't look after himself and gets between 80 and 100 k a week.
Is it enough?
Forums:
Although they don't come right out and say it, listening to Sullivan and Bilic, it seems we are finished our transfer business, except, possibly, for a couple of young players for the future (a.k.a. Academy Signings). Already the news is that we won't be getting Keita Balde (aw, just missed him, had that bid accepted but he wants to stay in Serie A and play for Milan). And then there's that "one in, one out" policy -- FFP and just can't afford new additions, and all that. You know the rhetoric by now. What I'm asking is, is it enough business? There were a few recent posts to the effect that if you look at how much we've spent and how much we had come in, we've actually underspent. I think that's right. And we could use at least one more proven striker. It doesn't have to be Hernandez quality -- we could afford to take a bit of a punt -- but another would really help. Do you agree? Who should we be looking at?
Andy Capps It All Off!
Those Hammers fans of a certain age will remember that before the internet and Sky the only news source for sports was the back page of newspapers, in those papers there were cartoons. One of the most popular and least reverent was Andy Capp, everything used to end up with either him having a scrap in the pub or him being 'taken out' from the pub by his long suffering wife....Fast forward to a time when social media is prevalent and invasive, no longer can things just be swept under the carpet, people aren't interested in cartoons when they have their own pantomimes choreographed in front of them by players of their football team. So, the latest pictures of Andy Carroll looking to all and sundry as if he had been doing some hard partying in Magaluf last weekend will be quite shocking but will come as no surprise, he is missing from the first team squad in Germany as they prepare for the start of the new season but was supposed to have been 'rehabilitating' from his 'injury'. Perhaps it was a typo from the club and in fact they meant he was going to rehab! Therefore the picture doing the rounds might of been Carroll enjoying his last night of freedom, although a certain TOWIE star might want to have a word in his shell like about the company he was keeping!
Realistically Carroll probably knows the writing is on the wall, if a club came in for him this transfer window West Ham would snap the potential buyers arm off, the problem for the West Ham hierarchy is who would want to buy him? Now there are some fans who would say "yes but he will go to another club and start banging in goals for fun after we have spent such a huge amount of time and money getting him fit". Hello, wake up, Andy Carroll is NEVER going to be fit enough to play a whole season nor any where near that, it is just the way it is. Of course Carroll has not helped himself with his lifestyle choices in the past, and it was hoped that having 'settled down' he would be able to concentrate on getting fit, unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the case.
It would be incredibly imprudent to base or design any team structure that relied upon Carroll, it would just be plain folly, the stats don't lie and West Ham United cannot afford to carry Andy Carroll any longer. - Ed

There Might Be A Few More Season Tickets Available, Why?
The arrival of Javier Fernandez has raised West Ham United's profile by a disproportionate amount, and so getting to actually see him live will be the preserve of those lucky enough to have season tickets or those who manage to get tickets via ticket exchange or are lucky enough to obtain one of the few tickets allocated via the members list. However, there might just be a few more tickets available and the reason is, it is common knowledge that people were able to buy multiple season tickets during the 'wild west' days of registration and that it was not necessary to produce evidence as to the age of the person a child season ticket was issued to, this loop hole led to wide spread abuse of the kid's scheme. This season things will be a little different, because all junior season ticket holders or their parents will have recently received the following e-mail from the club.
Dear Season Ticket Holder,
With the season fast approaching, we are ensuring we have the correct details for L**** N**** and their Under 16 Season Ticket. Our records currently show that we require proof of age and identification to validate their concession ticket.
This information must be submitted by sending a copy of your birth certificate, passport or driving license, along with your name and client reference number by one of the following ways - please do not send through original copies of identification:
Email to ProofOfAge@westhamunited.co.uk with a scanned copy as an attachment
Post to West Ham United Ticket Office, London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 2ST
Visit the Stadium Ticket Office 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday
To ensure you receive your Season Ticket in time for the start of the season, we require your proof of ID by Friday 28 July.
It is our estimation that as many as 3000 junior season ticket holders will be revealed as 'imposters' and that the club are unlikely to be very forgiving if it transpires there has been a deliberate falsification of registration information!
Watch out for a few gaps here and there, if not a few new 'genuine' faces many of course who may actually be young! Or do the club revoke the original ticket and then make it available to one of the many thousands of adults on the waiting list? Hence potentially trebling their income, now there's a thought isn't there? - Ed

Javier A Cigar Now It's Got Over The Line Two Davids
Just like watching the last few home games last season, there had been some degree of stress with regards the impending arrival of Javier Hernandez at the magnificent London Stadium. Until the official site www.whufc.com had actually confirmed the signing there are those of certain years with long memories who would not believe the signing until it was thoroughly and irrefutably done and dusted! Even if the official site confirms it (remember Yossi Benayoun). only when the Mexican media go 'purple' will we know everything is rosy in the claret and blue garden.
On the subject of the Mexican and Northern American media, now the transfer has gone through successfully West Ham United's presence will sky rocket (no pun intended), according to our dear old northern american correspondent our fan base has just exploded! If he doesn't suffer the traditional injury on debut curse, Hernandez could become a funky mexican super hero of the east end, you can bet your hat on it. At last the two Davids just about kept their mouths shut until the deal was done, and they are being repaid for their silence in spades- Ed

Hernandez a. Iron
