so its coming round to the time of year where managers especially the foreign managers start to harp on about the need for a break over the festive season....just yesterday I had read that LVG was complaining about his players being tired and burnt out...so here we are the end of October 10games into the season and those poor pampered players are tired and fatigued....some of them have even had to travel into Europe and the poor dears must suffer in first class I mean how can you stretch your legs out up there....anyway the age old debate continues shall we have a two week break over Christmas or not.....I would simply say not because its tradition but if they ever get there way then I would put in place a ruling that forbids teams and players to play any kind of footy during the break this of course would stop the lucrative fixtures the money men would love and involve flying half a world away to play...and of course that is the real reason for wanting a break to increase a clubs commercial standing somewhere in the world.so you have a 2 week break then what players will of lost match fitness so need time to adjust again and what if it snows those two weeks off could turn into 4/5/6 weeks then you are either extending a season which is nigh on impossible with all the international comps that take place so you end up maybe playing 2/3 times a week and you will hear this is terrible our players cant take that lets cut the size of the league to 18 teams and so it starts again....if you don't want to play at Christmas go manage in one of the other leagues in Europe or do what Nolan used to get sent off the week before then that Christmas sorted!

experts/commentators

how many times when watching a game(any level)have you said something to your friends only for seconds later the commentator/guest summariser to say word for word what you just did....never noticed that? give it a try next time you watch any sport its funny how often it happens I have a conspiracy theory that the living room or the bar at my local has a bugging device relaying these words so they can repeat them parrot like on the air! I have written to sky to point this out and that I would happily provide the commentary/summariser job for a much cheaper wage still waiting to hear back though lol

the search goes on

out here in the burbs of deepest darkest surrey( Epsom way chelski territory) I have yet to see the once prevelant species of the smuggessgittuschavis normally found wearing blue shirt and marching around the streets as if they owned them...but for some reason this species has become extinct around here and rumours of such sightings are thought now to be but a myth.....have they moved from there normal habitat? are they near you now or are they truly gone:-)

Is he the most overrated commentator ever? I thought I'd give the liverpool bournemouth a look but I had to switch to city palace because Tyler waffling on and on and on. The man thinks he's some sort of commentating genius. I want to watch the match I don't want to hear 90 mins of Tyler's babbling about the personal life of klopp, or his players and then telling me about the other matches that were played yesterday or every club that each player has played for before. Infuriating buffoon.

Watford game

We have the best away record in the league (in the country I think!), they have one of the worst home records. Before the Bilic Era, most of us would have this game down as a nailed on loss; but all bets are off now with that kind of typical old-fashioned 'always fear the worst' West Ham way of thinking.

Watford aren't as poor as their record suggests, but unless our boys are complacent we should have too much for them.

Team and predictions?

if not jenks then who?

reading an article this morning mentioning that the gooners want £15million for jenkinson in the summer if we want him just how realistic are they being? of course nobody will pay that for him maybe £7million at a push but what they want we and I very much doubt any other club will pay that ridiculous amount...of course we all now its just an opening gambit to see what they really want for him but if slav says no then who will we get to play in that position...I have heard sam byrams name mentioned by people but having not seen him play and clearly having no top flight experience would the club risk money on him? or will we stick with Tomkins and make him our new RB and buy another centre half? or will it be some Croatian player we are yet to no about...decisions decisions decisions....yes next summer is a long way off but in footy you have to keep looking
