Just what is it that West ham have done for lawrenson to keep having digs at us....his latest in his prediction league is for palace to beat us 2-1 fair enough as he always has us down for a loss!! but to then say Palace more likely to finish in the top four than west ham if there was to be a surprise package just goes to prove he has a dislike for us but for the life of me I don't no what it is can someone explain it to me please?

How much do you watch? every game if you could or do you keep to a strict diet of prem only no other division or maybe you go cosmopolitan and watch the games across Europe that are on at various times across the channels or are you a live football person only who has to be at the match for the atmosphere and watch highlights only?personally if I cannot go to a west ham match(because of work that's quite often)I will watch MOTD but that's getting harder now because setting up to record the last 5 mins to see us play does not at the moment work damn slaven and his creative free scoring style!
so just how discerning are you? I don't watch champs league until the knockout stages cup games unless its a derby or an actual chance of a giant killing watching man utd/chelski/gooners at home against a minnow that's a turn off straight away....I do delve into championship games of an evening as I like to see if there is some player that catches the eye and maybe could do a job for us....the prem games I will watch the Monday night game and on sunday if not doing family stuff I will watch the 4pm game....Spanish/Italian/german football sounds exciting and I do not doubt the standard but I find it hard to get excited watching those games dutch football can be entertaining at times and I may look at one of those now and then...so I reckon I will probably watch 3 games a week when the seasons are in full flow across Europe how about you?

Palace game

With the international break finished we can look forward to a long uninterrupted run of domestic games until the spring, starting against Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Hopefully all those who have been off representing their countries will have returned intact, and Slaven Bilic should have an almost full squad to choose from, although it might be a game or two early for Song and Valencia (BTW what has happened to Joey, heard nothing about his injury for weeks?)
Palace are flying, and I expect a tough game for our under fire full backs. But with them above us in the league, I consider us underdogs for this game! So hopefully we wont under-estimate them, and we can hope for an away performance more like our first 3 away games.
On form it should be a high scoring draw, but since when has form been much use in predicting games with West Ham? :-) So I expect 0- 0.

What do others think?

It's a good season so far,

and the new players are fitting in nicely but is anyone worried that come the summer transfer window a few of the bigger clubs will try to pick of the likes of Payet or Lanzini. It's been reported that BFS will be after Tomkins but I can't see him wanting to go after signing the new deal earlier but Payet, Lanzini, Sacko now they are a different kettle of fish. Hope not but money talks.

does it bother you who the ref is

so Saturdays trip to palace sees mark clattenberg take charge of the fixture so does that bother/worry you? Refs some are card happy others seem to be blind to obvious gbh on the pitch others just appear to not have a clue or is that just we fans having the blinkers on when decisions don't go our way? look at alan taylor he had a terrible game when we played Leicester missing a clear pen vardy should of gone off and Adrian ended up sent off although probably warranted so when he got the Newcastle game two weeks later everyone was thinking why and awaited the impending cockups but he had a good game so in reality its just the human factor we all have good and bad days whatever the profession so although some refs like to be the centre of attention they can only be so when players give them reason with stupid tackles etc

Rumours of new buyers

There are rumours going around of a new buyer, or of HUGE game-changing investment being made at West Ham soon. Now we've likely all heard this talk before, but it seems to have a little more credibility this time. With the move to the OS and the club having acquired the services of perhaps the most intelligent and likeable young manager out there, a guy who just might have what it takes to become THE next big thing in the manager stakes, it just might make sense for the next BIG investor to come in to the PL, and who looks a better prospect than us? Anyone heard anything?

season ticket/academy membership

Academy member myself purely because of my work and shifts I do it would be pointless in getting a season ticket these last couple of weeks I have been able to see west ham home and away but I will not be going again now until mid jan at the earliest so with D G announcing they hope to sell at least 40thousand season tickets when we are in the new stadium along with the just under 4thousand tickets for away fans allocation and somewhere I hear 5thousand free allocation to local schools in newham as an academy member how much chance next year will you get to see us playing the new ground?i have little doubt it will sell out purely because of the novelty value of the new stadium and the curiosity of people wanting to know what it will be like but until it all settles down and we get used to the new surroundings I fear it could be a longtime before I will get to see them at our new home

Allardyce Joins Sunderland, Will Andy Carroll Be His First Target?

Big Sam has joined Sunderland as their manager for the next two years, not as head coach, and as such he and a certain Mr Curtis will have full control on player signings. With this situation in mind, what are the odds against Big Sam putting a bid in for the Poney Tailed One during the January transfer window? It could be a great bit of business for the Irons, Big Andy can go back oop north and be re-born with a team that would be structured around him, and Hammers could save face by doing an undisclosed transfer, West Ham fans knew the writing was on the wall with regards to Carroll by the club's reluctance to play him when he was available. Wrap him up in cotton wool and punt him in January seems to have been the plan, Allardyce's appointment has just helped put the plan in to operation! - Ed

Our old mate Sam

Submitted by Red Neck Iron on Fri, 09/10/2015 - 18:53

Our old mate Sam has got a new job, deep down I was daring him to take the Sunderland job he can't do any buying till January and I'm convinced this is one step too far and Sunderland will live with the tag be careful what you wish for. So Nolan will be off there 2 so they can play with 10 men and Morgan maybe? As he's a free agent now. In short if allardyce came knocking in January for Carroll for 7 million would you take it? I think I would as long as he is replaced in the same window
