rumours are both lanzini and payet could be available for the citeh match this weekend should we pick them? obviously fully fit its a yes but coming back from injury in such a tough match should we leave them out and try and stifle citeh and get a 0-0 and hope the international break which follows sees them fully recovered and chomping at the bit for there first league appearance at the new ground against Watford?
Just when Hammers fans thought they had seen it all with regards to players at the club dropping like flies, news arrives not only of David Sullivan being hospitalised but also that of David Gold having to visit the Lister Hospital!
David Sullivan has undergone heart surgery and currently remains in hospital, he previously underwent a quadruple heart bypass surgery in 1994. . David Sullivan junior tweeted "Dad's just had heart surgery woke up from operation and is straight back on the phone to sign more players ,THE CHAMP! What a man" Mr Sullivan is expected to make a full recovery, but has been advised to 'take it easy', some hope!
As if news of one co-owner needing Hospital treatment wasn't bad enough, news that fellow co-owner David Gold's car with it's distinct number plate, has been seen parked up outside the prestigious Lister Hospital in Westminster. Although the Lister do not give out specific information about their clients, their equivalent of doris the teal lady was able to confirm that appointments had been attended by a member of the Gold family but would not exactly confirm their specific identity.
There have been recent misguided and scurrilous reports that David Sullivan and David Gold are looking to make a 'fast buck' by selling the club, nothing can be further from the truth! But if there were fans who doubted the two David's commitment to the club they should look no further, because here are two examples of people who WILL go the extra mile for the club they live and breathe. - Ef

whats the opinions so far? i have to say i had to check if he was playing yesterday as i don't remember seeing him touch the ball for 90 mins. coming from the bundesliga he should be o.k with the pace of things in the prem, just not seen much participation from him so far.
Just heard on Talksh**e that bilic has admitted he cannot build a team around carroll because he is always injured anyone else think the writings on the wall for him now? bilic has not rushed him back got him training well he plays games and scores but it would seem no matter what they try he keeps getting injured....now I doubt it will be this season but I am pretty sure that shipping him out along with Valencia/sakho are now what will be concentrating his mind long term...
Like to know your views ,i thought he was solid enough ,Tore ? I think he'll improve ,bit lightweight though and a bit laking in confidence, Val ?,i kept thinking a goal would do wonders for him but im afraid whatever he had its gone ,Collins solid as a rock ,Noble just keeps on inproving ,one or two slip ups but overall a powerhouse , my motm ,we may not have the best back four in the prem but pound for pound and what ive seen so far their up for the taskforce
It wasn't pretty, but it was a positive result! A victory at home was essential for West Ham United, and the home team, devoid of some seriously major players delivered the goods at a sun drenched London Stadium. In a way it was a match of redemption for Mikael Antonio, finally shorn of the sheckles of being a right back, he was able to be the player that all West Ham and Nottingham Forest fans know he is capable of, and topped off a turbo charged performance with a winning headed goal against a resolute Bournemouth side in the 82nd minute. However, truth be told, in the early exchanges of the match Antonio was like a bull in a china shop! He had the touch of a r****t and was so keen to make a killing pass he ended up 'murdering' the move on more than a few occasions, but he needn't have worried, because Gokhan Tore operating on the opposite flank was so useless that Antonio shone like a bright light! We all know that managers have their favourite players, but Slaven needs to go the specsavers route and see that Tore is packing a few too many pounds for someone in his position, he is currently more a flying bumblebee than a winger!
Antonio clearly looked like a player who had been given a second chance, but was obviously over eager, the chance he was given was courtesy of a solid, if immature, performance at right back by Sam Byram who picked up his customary yellow card. Speaking of yellow cards, Eddie Howe's boys weren't there to make up the numbers, and put themselves about to some effect, much to the chagrin of the 'London Stadium' faithful (how weird does that sound?) and it could be argued that it took a dismissal for a second bookable offence by Harry Arter before Hammers were finally able to take advantage of the majority possession that they had experienced as the match wore on.
The team played without an 'I' in it and deserve huge amounts of credit for digging their heels in, rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done, three points gained, a result ground out in front of a massive packed new stadium in the sun shine! It could have been worse, a brave new world? - Ed
