Wonder is there anything in the rumors
West Ham United are about to lock horns with Tottenham in a bidding war for £25 Million rated Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, the striker might want to link up with his old team mate Dimitri Payet at the Olympic Stadium as opposed to joining the North London outfit. The final results for both teams will also be a massive factor in where the player ends up, but it does seem that any deal will prove 'difficult' to conclude without splashing the cash! Hammers are also interested in Watford striker Odion Ighalo, who the Hornets are apparently resigned to losing for £12 Million, at that price he is a bargain, but why would his club not want to keep him? All this transfer talk is acutely pertinent given the news that Andy Carroll has accrued yet another injury, this time and abductor injury, or maybe he has been abducted by aliens who took out all his vital bits and replaced them with 'designed to fail' engineering! Even the most hopeful and generous of fans will at some point have to accept that Carroll, who of course hates being injured, is never going to be fit and available for even half a season, and regretfully the club should 'take the hit' and move him on. Sadly West Ham are no strangers to signing players with great potential at great expense, only to see them injured on a consistent basis, Stuart Robson, Dean Ashton, Kieron Dyer etc etc.
There are exciting times ahead, but sometimes you have to take one step backwards before moving two steps forwards. - Ed
so no carroll/Valencia/sakho for sundays cup match lets hope emunike doesn't train otherwise who will be playing upfront!.... as for carroll its just not good enough of course he does not get injured on purpose but we cant go yet another season with him spending more time in the treatment room than on the pitch....apparently its an abductor muscle injury picked up against Norwich....much as I hate to say it I think we should cut our losses with him...get him fit and sell him in the summer
Can anyone tell me whether or not that Messi penalty the othe night legal ?whats the betting everyone in the prem will be at it by next week
Not letting my heart rule my head or anything ,i only wish them bad things but 5/1 for the win in Paris tonight seems like not bad odds to me
we all have them and swear they work even when they don't! but whats yours? one of mine is regarding when west ham play and I cannot get to a game unless I hear news about the match from the start or I watch soccer Saturday(I no shoot me!)from the kickoff I will not dare jinx my beloved hammers by turning the radio/tv on because to many times the moment I do that you hear goaaaaal and its either a last gasp winner/equaliser by the opposition so by not listening and only turning on to see/hear the final result I feel I maybe am in someway not jinxing the team...stupid I no and its agony thinking about whats going on at the match when all you have to do is log on or turn tv/radio to get the news but like I said to many times for it surely to be a coincidence I have done that only for it to go pear shaped for west ham.....nutter my better half calls me when I do it and yeah she's probably right but I just cannot take the chance!
West Ham legend, 1964 FA Cup and 1965 ECWC winner Ken Brown - 82 today!....met him at Romford a few years back, Top bloke and great to talk to....( LEGEND )
that is my thoughts about alex song in midfield and with obiang now getting some games and proving himself a better choice in the midfield I.M.O surely the board will not sign him on any kind of permanent deal....he simply has not done enough and the wages rumoured to be on can be put to better use....discovering the likes of lanzini shows that you do not have to go over the top on fees and wages to get a very very good player....sadly song is not any of these anymore...he switches off to many times for my liking and gets caught with the ball instead of making the pass....if his wages were halved and he was happy to be a squad player maybe then make deal but for £80grand+ he is supposedly on well he is not worth it.
Watching MOTD last night and Shearer of all people put the question to Woy about Mark Noble possibly being selected for England and all the gibbering idiot could do was wriggle and blubber on about how the English midfield is strong enough and Dan Gosling and that if players like Mark continue their form it's creates healthy competition. Well To pick one example of his bias I bet Rooney gets picked and plays irrespective of his atrocious form and lack of goals ( for a striker) , and Vardy who is on fire will be fortunate to get picked and then have a Cinderella roll on the bench. Woy is part of footballing establishment run by and influenced by Manure, Poo and Chelski. Blinkered and bias English international football will never flourish whilst the powers that control it are puppets of the so called premiere league elite.
Is getting better and better this season... he should start every game, its clear from the last 3 or 4 games how much we rely on him to distribute the ball and play it out from deep. Not only his commanding presence in the team but his determination rallies our team and gets them to perform. Would pick him ahead of Kouyate, Song and Obiang every time.
