Adebayor. Seriously?
Forums:
On Newsnow we're apparently linked with "Superstar" striker Adebayor and a deal is close to completion for the summer. So to whoever is sanctioning/persuing this deal here's my question. Are you (expletive) serious?
- If this guy is not good enough for the Spuds first team then why on Earth is he considered good enough for us? He's 31, has no pace and is only marginaly an improvement on CC. With Sakho,Valencia and Carroll as our first choice strikers surely we should be targeting someone who can challenge these guys, not someone we can bring off the bench if things aren't going our way and hope he can do the impossible. I understand why we needed him in Jan, after all our other targets failed to materialise but surely we can target someone better in the summer. I'm loathe to see our owners giving Levy the parasite money for this guy.
- This smacks of another Big Sam target. Approaching end of his career and can maybe do a job. Sounds like Nolan and Sam's CV's!!!
- Funny how some are saying Tevex at 31 can't do a job for us yet our visionary manager sees this guy as the solution!

Gerrard and Skirtel
Forums:
So Stevie G has apologised for his stamp (would he have done had it not been seen and he was not ordered from the field of play?) Skirtel stamped on De Gea erm hello SKY no mention of that one eh, I hope they both get the book thrown at them ... Skirtel has got away with thuggery for ages , Slippy as we all know is well past his sell by date and how on earth did he win over 100 England caps is English football really that bad? I hope teams in the States have shin guards tied to the goal posts because they will need them.
we have all done this in the past

Forums:
A way must be found to stop the clubs with almost infinite amounts of cash from simply buying up all the best players. I watched Man City v West Brom yesterday, and the gulf in class was ridiculous. Admittedly the Baggies had a man sent off early, but it was like watching a practice game: defenders against attackers. West Brom, literally, barely even got out of their own half, and had one chance in the whole game, City had 26 chances in the first half alone!
- FPP seems to have little effect, and seems open to the top clubs cheating the idea in various ways.
Is it time to learn some lessons from American football, with genuine salary and spending caps?
It is not entertainment to watch one side walk all over another side because their team cost 100s of millions more than the opposition! What achievement is there in such a victory?
I know that it would never be possible to make all teams equal, but surely it is for the good of the game to make things just a little more competitive?
With our corrupt and archaic governing bodies I see little prospect of the gravy train being upset... yet another reason to throw out the corrupt fat cats at FIFA.- FPP seems to have little effect, and seems open to the top clubs cheating the idea in various ways.
Standard of refereeing
Forums:
Refereeing decision are getting ridiculous. We all witnessed the abysmal performance of the ref in our match yesterday but other matches had the same ridiculous decisions. In particular the Palace game where Palace were given a penalty even though the keeper didn't foul the attacker who should have been booked for high feet anyway.
