Server Switch Over Notice

madhammer's picture
Submitted by madhammer on Sat, 30/05/2015 - 15:26

As you are aware we have been having extremely slow site speeds and an abundance of issues with the site, but I am pleased to announce that will come to an end this weekend! This Sunday at 4pm GMT, we will be performing several software updates and moving our servers. The move to the new server is required in order to keep The Org secure and up-to-date. We may be momentarily unavailable around the time of switch over.

I will post updates here as needed.

Once again I would like to say thank you to the Orgers for your on going support of the site.

Not as deep as I'd like

No not something I mentioned to the wife last night but the strength in our squad at the moment.

I understand the need to release players at the end of their contracts and start a fresh for the new campaign with a new manager. However, we commence a very competitive European campaign in just over a month and our squad is looking a little thin to say the least.

A number of youngsters have departed, most notably Potts, who probably wouldn't have been much help in Europe but the same can't be said for the likes of Demel or Jussi or Cole. Surely they could have been utilised at some point? A short term contract could have secured them a little while longer. Or keep them until their contracts end (June 30th) and let the new boss decide.

We are carrying a lot of injuries so there is a risk to see whether the likes of Carroll, Sakho, Collins etc are ready for the start of July and also whether the likes of Zarate or Maiga are still here then. I'm sure we have some players on the radar and a new manager could well arrive imminently but as always we are cutting it fine!

I thought that he would make it but apparently he has been released. Did anyone see him play for the development squad. Did he really not make the grade ?

FIFA FO FUM

Submitted by Zummerzet on Wed, 27/05/2015 - 14:12

The shenanigans in Switzerland ie the arrest of several FIFA representatives must highlight to even the most loyal follower of our illustrious leader Mr Sepp Blater that things do not seem to going well. The alleged dodgy dealing and the questions over the awarding of the tournaments to Russia and Qatar are apparently coming to a head with the actions of the FBI requesting the apprehension of above mentioned representatives. How can anyone believe that the outstanding Russia well known for its straightforward dealings in international politics and sport would countenance dodgy dealing is beyond me. Qatar known worldwide for its excellent reputation in football is the natural choice of any freethinking member of FIFA. The questions of slave labour to build the stadiums and the nonsense of where the fans will stay is a red herring and of course must be ignored. To all and sundry it must be obvious that FIFA is a shining light of truth and decency in the shady word of sport politics.
ps The application is in the post.

Europe Ahoy And Really Weird And Wild Mourinho Backing For Bilic

The season is going to start really early for the incoming manager of West Ham United, the club have just been declared top of the fair play league in England, and as such have obtained entry for a Europa League qualifying place along with Liverpool, Tottenham and either Aston Villa or Southampton. As fair play qualifiers Hammers will have to play their first match on July 2nd, in order to enter the competition 'proper' they will have to play a further three matches. A tall order for a team that is currently without a manager following Sam 'Arraldite's' departure, but on the positive front, following a bizarre accidental meeting courtesy of Chelsea fans occupying the Fulham Road and it's surrounding area for their Barclays Premier League title celebration, a rather worse for wear Jose Mourinho endorsed Slaven Bilic's credentials as a manager.
"Slaven is a good man, a strong man, but intelligent. He knows how to see a game, he is, how do you say? not a Luddite, unlike others, I think you know who I am talking about. He will be a breath of fresh air, and at last there will be someone able to take the weight off doing vaguely interesting and witty press conferences from my shoulders!"
And with that, the great one collapsed in a heap before being 'shoed in', by a rather large man with dark glasses, to a waiting limousine driven by an even larger man with dark glasses!
Bilic's odds were 1-4 on, what price now? -Ed

The Mirror reckons Bielsa wants in at West Ham... Wouldn't believe a word I read in that rag, but what would people think about him coming here? I see one poster did vote for him.

Can we all be one now ?

There are no rights and no wrongs regarding Sam Allardyce everyone has an opinion and they are all valid depending on ones view point, lets just draw a line and stop all the fractious moaning because the division amongst Fans and even Friends and family on the issue of the now x manager was seriously becoming ridiculous tiresome and in some cases childish, but worse than that Negative for our beloved football club .
I remember seeing a family member at a wedding two years ago and I had not seen him for a few years and he is an avid Hammers fan goes to every single game very solid season ticket geeze, and I said to him "hey what do you think of Allardyce", now what I expected from him was a rant and rave about how useless and pathetic he was, but he actually said " He is just what we need great manager " I just nodded my head smiled and thought 'bloody hell i did not expect that' , but it proves to me anyway that we all have differing opinions I did not think any less of him, such is life some want more some are not too greedy, whatever ! .
Can we all now just get back to supporting West Ham Utd no more silly moaning, I too have done my fair share of having a go about Big Sam yesterday was the final few, NO MORE !, and I do not have one shred of arrogance about what has happened I wish him well, more Importantly I wish West Ham Well very very well Please God, and I am sure every one of us will say an Amen to that .
