Wolves Hungry For Hammers

West Ham's next Premier League opponents Wolves, have been showing more than an unhealthy interest in Hammers defensive stalwart Craig 'Balon Dawson' and 'unhappy' striker Michail Antonio. Dawson's desire to return oop north is well documented and it is accepted he will be back where his family are from sooner rather than later.

Michail Antoinio's recent throwing of his toys out of the pram is a more recent development and the reasons behind his discontent are apparently multitudinous. It is hard to understand what Antonio's beef is. Does he resent another striker taking his place in the starting line up? If so he needs to take a look from the outside in to gain a better perspective.

Antoinio 'saw off' Sebastien Haller from the club, but that was then and this is now, a couple of years is a lifetime in football, especially for a player the wrong side of 30 years old. It is totally unrealistic of Antonio to expect to be starting every game when the club have splashed out big bucks on a younger and fitter player in the same position.

Antonio is on decent money at the club so perhaps the only reason he is seeking out is to pursue more game time, which is surprising given Hammers atrocious injury record, all big Mick has to do is bide his time and he will get plenty of opportunities to play.

Either way, both Antonio and Dawson will be able to show case their skills to their prospective new club if they are selected to play, you never now, David Moyes might just feel warranted to NOT include either player in his starting line up, we will see on Saturday afternoon! - Ed

Wolves interested in Ant

Submitted by alby foreverirons on Wed, 11/01/2023 - 12:35

Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are should we keep or sell. We all know that Ant has been shocking over the last 12 month ever since he started playing for Jamaica his form has dropped but should we let him go. He is our highest goal scorer for the last few seasons and he is hard for defenders to cover but at nearly 33 how long do we keep him for. For me we need to see how much they are willing to pay. If we can get £10 million for him and Dawson that would just about cover the cost of Brenton Diaz who is a player that I think would be a great buy for us. The only thing we have to do is get another couple of backs in and then let them go as long as we get the deal with Blackburn set up.

Seb Back In Bundesliga

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Tue, 10/01/2023 - 22:02

Sebastien Haller played for Borussia Dortmund in a friendly which was his first game since his return following treatment for testicular cancer. The ex-Hammer and Ivory Coast striker came off the bench after 73 minutes against Fortuna Duesseldorf in Marbella, a game that his team went on to win 5-1.

It is the first time the 28 yr old has actually played for Dortmund as his cancer diagnosis came shortly after he signed for them from Ajax in July. Seb has had surgery and chemotherapy before returning to training at Dortmund's training camp in Marbella.
"When everyone is of the opinion that it would be a good idea for me to play, then I'll play," said Haller. "Of course I want to be on the field every day and play again as soon as possible, I will do my best to play on the 22nd and be in the best possible shape."

England's Jude Bellingham who also plays alongside Haller in Germany was quick to add "what a sight, what a Man" to his social media pages as he commented on Haller's return to training. We are sure that ALL the Hammers fraternity wish Seb a return to full health and fitness and scoring plenty of goals, so long as they aren't against West Ham should both teams meet in European Competition. - LN

Youngsters, What next!!

Submitted by Gravs on Tue, 10/01/2023 - 18:46

Nevers, Chesters and Oko-Flex come back from their respective loans, Perkins Left for Leeds, Ashby wants out and the club is looking at either accepting a nominal fee, with the players agent touting him to Newcastle and Leeds.
Same agency that represents Eddie Howe, and is Marc Warburton's daughter. We've created our own players in the past, but since the 2000's loads of younger players have left, some went on to stardom a lot didn't, we've had Oxford, Ngakia, Boatey, Corbett, Samuelson, Haksabanovic, Cullen, Burke and Alese to name a few, all mentioned as future talents.
Only this past season, Baptiste was a name who great things were expected of, alongside Longelo, Odubeko so prolific for Manchester United Reserve side, and now Ekwah Elimby a signing from Chelsea a couple of seasons ago, who is now set to leave for a pittance, yet our Club has been called ' The (Supposed) Academy of Football' then why are there so many who don't make it??

David Gold

We once wrote an article entitled "weird scenes at the Gold mine" which paraphrased the name of a Doors album title, in it we eulogised but mocked David Gold's twitter messages that he would randomly add, later on as he got a bit older his account was 'highjacked' by the club's PR team in order to avoid too much of the truth getting out!

That is how we shall remember him, never afraid of speaking his mind and constantly voicing his opinion without pandering to political correctness. He truly loved West Ham and will be sorely missed, but he did have a good innings and rose from humble stock to being a very successful businessman.

Those ignoramuses at Porto who nicknamed him and David Sullivan the dildo brothers had no idea how much he chuckled, if they had done their research they would have realised that the Gold and Sullivan partnership was unique, they were competing against each other selling men's mags etc when they realised if they joined forces they could survive what was a very 'gas light' business where it was necessary to make all sorts of unofficial payments to various Police benevolent funds if you know what we mean.

David Gold was old school, the likes of which will rarely be seen again, we wish all his family well and hope his genuine legacy will remain, starting with a win tonight, the players owe him that! David Gold R.I.P - Ed

Blind Faith Or Just Blind?

So according to David Moyes the Board and himself are a LOT older and wiser than most and are able to see the 'bigger picture' when all others can only see what is in front of them.

Bold talk indeed for a manager who has just overseen an appalling run of domestic form of 14 wins in 42 games, culminating in the recent sequence of FIVE defeats in a row!

Bad luck and injuries are all part of the game, past and present, so to reference these old managerial adversaries is really back ward thinking, look at Chelski and how they pull the trigger even on successful managers, we are not suggesting that the Hammers board should adopt such ruthless procedures but perhaps they may concede privately if not publicly that David Moyes' tenure as manager has come to an end, that is not to say he hasn't done brilliantly for the club over the last three years, but all that good work and Kudos is in danger of going up in smoke.

Moyes has ALWAYS been superb at bringing players through, converting players to play on other positions and working on a shoe string budget, however when he has a team of top players at his disposal he has struggled, unfortunately he seems to have hit that impasse again at West Ham.

In the past it is fair to say the club has been under financed in the transfer market, but the same cannot be said now, the fact is Moyes DOES have a superb squad now, despite injuries to key players and is currently unable to get the players he DOES have available to perform to the vest of their capabilities, although no experts we at the Org are of the opinion that losing Alan Irvine AND Stuart Pearce fro the coaching teM Has had a collateral effect on the club from which it has NEVER recovered, just look at the results over the last 18 months, the European adventures have masked a woeful run of domestic results.

IF Hammers win at Leeds tonight which is highly doubtful it will only postpone what will eventually be a painful but necessary decision from the board, we state this with NO malice, just a sprinkling of reality. - Ed
