    Those readers who were acquainted with the Org in it's first incarnation 1999-2015, when it was open for anyone to comment without being a member, will perhaps fondly remember 'Clint'. Because it was an 'open' forum we would sometimes have well over 1000 people on line at any one time, consequently it was necessary to be inventive to prevent 'acute' swearing, the tool we used was a language convertor which enabled certain swear words to be 'converted' from the swear word to something more palatable, especially for younger viewers.
    It doesn't take too much of a genius to work out the derivative of Clint, but some viewers still used to ask "who the hell is this guy Clint?" Well in our opinion yesterday's referee, Chris Kavanagh, was an out and out 'Clint' for the way he sent off Fabian Balbuena just as Hammers had built up a head of steam in their efforts to at least get a draw, the central defender's red card put the kibosh on the slim chance of attaining an equalizer.

    Even the professional Hammers protagonist, Adrian Durham, was among a whole host of football pundits to weigh in on the decision to send off Fabian Balbuena during West Ham United’s 1-0 defeat by Chelsea yesterday. Durham usually does his best to 'Diss' West Ham, so his endorsement goes to show just how unjust the appalling decision was.

    The standard of refereeing in the English game has become rather embarrassing, VAR was supposed to help, all it has done is given carte blanche to incompetence backed up by safety in numbers. Of course it didn't help matters that 'Lord' Oliv(i)er' was the referee operating the VAR, he obviously informed Chris Kavanagh that something had happened, and after all if he doesn't do anything to get people's attention during a game he feels that he has failed, he's another 'Clint'!.

    "How that is clear and obvious I don’t know. These horrendous decisions, week in week out, are disgustingly inconstant and seem to always favour the so-called bigger clubs." Is what Durham tweeted just after the game

    The Red card will undoubtedly be overturned, but that doesn't compensate the club for having lost a key player in the vital closing moments of the game, it's not as if this is the first time it has happened to the Irons is it? Perhaps the 'septic six' have had a whip round in order to ensure their 'pet' officials award everything they can to help the 'special teams' reach the Champions League that they wanted to send down the river? Funny old game isn't it? But not so funny when your team is on the receiving end of rough justice, repeatedly.

    We suppose there shouldn't really be any doubt as to why Hammers are repeatedly targeted, they stood, and still stand, on the brink of upsetting the Barclays Premier League hierarchy, a bunch of 'Clints' who will do anything to retain their fetid overindulgences. - Ed

    Really Hate some Journo's

    Throughout the years we've seen some Brilliant players grace our club, Devonshire, Brooking etc. But over the past few years we've also had some players if only for a short while, namely Payet, Arnautovic and as it would seem now Lingard. I quite often have a look at the West Ham News Now All Sources and one of the stories I clicked on was 'Is Lingard too good for West Ham'. There was even a poll on it, which gets me thinking 'Why are we constantly belittled by the gutter press?' and Journalists in general?? We get a good player and after a while they start again?? with comments about your Chelsea's and Manchester United.

    Hammers face up to Chelsea on Saturday for a game that could have far-reaching implications for both clubs, Champions League qualification is the holy grail awaiting the winners of the tie, defeat might condemn the losers to 'Europa League' ignominy.

    One player who seems destined not to be part of the proceedings is Tammy Abraham, the Chelsea striker has been 'frozen out' of their first team since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as manager. Tuchel has made it clear that Abraham does not feature in his plans, leaving the 23 year old striker in 'no man's land'.

    Abraham's omission from the Chelsea first team has seen him lose his place in Gareth Southgate's England squad, just when he really wanted to be included for this summer's Euro competition. At 23 Abraham has his best years ahead of him, but bench warming is not something that sits well with him, consequently he will be handing in a written transfer request if there is no possibility of him featuring regularly for the West London club.

    Hammers are 'screaming out' for a 'proper' centre forward, and Abraham ticks all the boxes, fast, athletic, clever and unselfish. He would be a perfect fit at the London Stadium, and another player who would arrive with a point to prove, he will have looked at Jesse Lingard's 'surprise' inclusion in the England squad, and thought I'll have some of that!

    So long as Chelsea don't try and ask ridiculous money, his acquisition is a no brainer. Apart from Abraham's qualities as a player, he is also a very decent human being with great awareness of what is going on around him, how do we know? Because this writer, during his 'five year sentence' as an intervention tutor, knew him and his younger brother when they were students, and I can confirm he is a thoroughly decent young man.

    Apart from the 'Czech Mates', Hammers success in recruiting has been based on young, hungry players with a point to prove, or quality older players, all UK based. Building a team with a British core seems even more pertinent given the recent shenanigans of the 'European 'Sucker' Cup'. - Ed

  • Moyes Sweating On Fitness Tests

    Having nearly reached the summit with his team, Hammers manager David Moyes has reached an injury impasse that even he, a manager with nearly 1000 games under his belt, is surely going to find incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to deal with.

    The team just about managed to cope with the loss of Declan Rice initially, but that was dependent on having the rest of the team firing on all cylinders, but the injuries to other players have racked up alarmingly. Along with Rice's injury, Moyes has had to nurture Michail Antoinio's hamstrings as if they were the crown jewels, and cope without the Angel, Angelo Ogbonna, in addition he has then lost the services of Aaron 'Mr My Hair IS Never Out Of Place' Cresswell, and a repeat injury to Authur Masuaku who had only just returned to the team following a lengthy spell on the side lines following an emergency knee operation.

    Apart from the negativity of the loss against Newcastle, a game that could have seen the Irons go third in the Barclays Premier League, Moyes had more woe heaped on him by the red card picked up by 'Les' Dawson following two reckless challenges.

    So to re-cap, Moyes is currently without the services of the following players, and is awaiting late fitness tests to see if any of them will be able to feature in the crucial six-pointer against Chelsea this weekend, Rice is definitely out, Antonio, Cresswell, Masuaku and Ogbonna are all border line, and Dawson is suspended.Moyes cannot suddenly magic up players so what can he do to fill the void?

    As we keep banging on, Said Benrahma is available, fit, and desperate to prove his worth, some say that he is too desperate to make a good impression which affects his judgement, and Conor Coventry probably has no idea what it is going to take for him to get his opportunity in midfield.

    The grim reality is that Hammers European aspirations are teetering on the brink, the dreadful result against the Toon may well have already scuppered any chances of a Champions League spot, and even reaching the Europa League is going to be a tall order, the job Moyes has done has been magnificent, no one will blame him if the team fall short at the last hurdle as it has been punching above it's weight consistently.

    So why not take a little bit of a risk and unleash a player who the club have paid in excess of £20 Million for? And why not use an international player who has come through the ranks at West Ham? Come on 'Moyesiah' break out the loaves and fishes! - Ed

  • What Does It Take To Start Benrahma?

    Tomas Soucek, along with several of his team mates, is suffering from the exertions of having to cover for missing players, and the 'high energy team' that blew teams away has lost it's energy co-efficient from the level it had attained.

    Said Benrahma has played so few minutes compared to the other players, when Jesse Lingard arrived his 'pent up energy' exploded because David Moyes unleashed Lingard's inner player, so why doesn't the vastly experienced West Ham manager utilise such an asset that he has at his disposal when his team is down to the bare bones?

    Making unforced errors was the original reason for Benrahma's absence, but having seen last week's error strewn performance, perhaps David Moyes might want to reconsider. Moyes is known for his 'my way or the highway' stance when it comes to players' integration in to the team, however in the current circumstances he surely must use Benrahma more.

    Injuries and suspensions have ripped the heart out of the team, people might say that back in the day teams got through the whole season with very few players, they forget to say, but with an awful lot of courtesone. The team have done incredibly well to have got so far, but it really is a time for all hands to the pumps now.

    Moyes generally knows best, but sometimes proving a point can become somewhat of a Pyrrhic victory! . Ed

  • Euro 'Soccer' League Cunning Stunts?

    Was the timing of the 'Euro Soccer League' announcement an example of the type of 'cunning stunts' that will be running the 'top boy's club'? We are sure the analogy will not be lost by most viewers, particularly those of a certain age who watched TV comedies in the early nineties, 'cunning stunt' was a play on words that 'kinda lingers'.

    Around the same time as these new wave comedians were strutting their stuff a break away football league was being announced, much to the consternation of the bulk of football fans, as we know the Premier League has gone on to be the most successful global sporting medium of all time, surpassing the American NFL.

    There is however a vast difference between the forming of the premier league and the proposals for the Euro 'soccer' league, in principal the premier league still embraced the jeopardy element of relation and promotion, an ethos that encouraged fans, many blindly, into believing their club could reach close to the summit.

    The Soccer league does NOT, it is essentially a closed shop that tosses a few scraps to the 'little people' once in a while. NOw it is easy to have a knee jerk reaction to anything new and as such the 'merits' of the offer have to be reviewed whether we like them or not.

    The hopes of the top cats are that every thing will blow over, and when the dust settles a 'compromise' will be reached in order for the various competitions to be played in tandem, this does rather dilute their 'elite' delusions that state they want to have top quality product available for the 'billions' who will watch their 'pets' play.

    We have canvassed opinion from fans and webmasters from the six 'traitor' clubs, and all are appalled at was has occurred, but they weren't that surprised, without their clubs being able to 'milk them' of their gate money it just seemed a matter of time before the 'bean counters' would come up with a way to offset the massive financial losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

    All of the signatories to the Soccer League, both home and abroad, are facing massive financial meltdown due to their 'bloated' recruitment policies that saw them literally outbid other clubs for stars galacticos, the wages on offer alone for ONE player would be enough to keep a League 1 team going for an entire season!

    How exactly all the recent events affect West Ham will be clearer later today, once the remaining fourteen Barclays Premier League teams have met to discuss the issue, but it seems that there will be a truce between the warring parties, with the Soccer league postponing their launch for another season, during which time each party can 'negotiate' with the other.

    Whilst appeasement has always proven to be the wrong choice in the long run, in the short term it may be inevitable, if not be prepared for a bare knuckle ride,sponsors will want their money back, players contracts could be nullified, and even the season's results of the 'Soccerites' could be expunged, which incidentally would benefit West Ham more than any of the other clubs left. The next few days and hours will dictate the speed of change, but unfortunately this does rather seem like the beginning of the end, AND the end of the beginning. - Ed

    Well, this season might end up as a damp squib for West Ham because most fans know that Hammers reached for the sky and very nearly made it, unfortunately injuries and suspensions might see the team fall just short. However, one small spark of joy is in that knowing the 3-3 result against Tottenham sparked their decline culminating with the sacking of Jose 'sourpuss' Mourinho, and the fact that Daniel Levy will have to open his corporation wallet up to the estimated tune of in excess of £15 Million as a pay off!
