  • Man U's Greed Answers Steidten's Pleads!

    Harry Maguire is a good defender who only seems to perform at his best while representing England. He is an extremely highly paid 30 year old who has just been stripped of the captain's armband and been deemed surplus to requirements by Eric Ten Hag.

    Maguire is the exact antithesis of a Tim Steidten signing, over priced, over paid and overestimated in many peoples eyes. He is however a complete David Moyes 'aparition', a grizzled Premier League performer who 'knows the game'. Unfortunately Moyes is hell bent on 'blowing the Declan Rice money on rejects and over priced has beens of which Maguire certainly fits the bill.

    Not just content with wanting to give his ex-employers a sizeable chunk of change back to cover his compensation 'sack' payment via a deal for Maguire, but he also wants the currently injured Scott McTominay to come and join him in a London Scotfest!

    The price quoted for McTominay is completely OFF the scale, as is the price cheekily quoted for Maguire who was about to be pair off by Manchester United unless some 'mug team' were stupid enough to actually buy him and take on his outrageous wages of in excess of £300,000 per week!

    Hammers have dodged a bullet due to the ridiculous valuations put on BOTH players, but watch out for the ricochet as Moyes descends into a bout of 'Lingarditus"...it is as if he has something to prove to the Manchester club, or a ghost in his cupboard! - LN

  • Much Ado About Nothing!

    We had hoped that arriving in our Hotel ahead of Hammers friendly against Stade Rennais where we finally have good broadband and data facilities that there would be PLENTY to write about regarding transfers, unfortunately it is as if time has stood still for the last fortnight as there appears to have been 'much ado about nothing!'

    As the only Premier League club NOT to have signed anyone, disaster seems to be looming ahead of the new season. For an outsider looking in the problems facing West Ham's player recruitment are clear and very obvious, on the one hand you have the unstoppable force that is Tim Steidten, while on the other you have the unmovable object that is David Moyes!

    Inevitably something has to give. Tim Steidten was brought to the club in order to unearth 'hidden gems' in the transfer market using his data driven logic, unfortunately his criteria and that of 'Dino' Moyes are widely and wildly different. Moyes wants proven Premier League experience, whereas the 'pearl diver' as he is known wants 'fresh blood' that is available at a fraction of the cost of the over inflated values placed on proven Premier League players.

    The situation is further exasperated due to the fact that everyone in the Premier League knows that Hammers have the Declan Rice money to spend and have adjusted their prices accordingly. Moyes is definitely in danger of doing a 'harry' with the Rice money as his obdurate approach has little if no flexibility.

    All is not lost as yet, because Moyes only has ONE YEAR LEFT on his contract whereas Tim Steidten has three! Moyes's contract will NOT be renewed, even if he does somehow engineer a Europa League Cup victory, if the club win it it will be despite Moyes not because of him.

    The list of rumoured transfer targets is absolutely vast and currently resembles the 'scatter gun' approach it was supposed to replace! Moyes has already dug his heels in and he has adopted his usual recalcitrant attitude, if he continues to be such a 'dog in the manger' Hammers stand to miss out on the undoubted talents of Tim Steidten, the German who had offers from right across Europe, could be tempted to walk, which would be a crying shame. - Ed

  • West Ham Begin 'covert' Move to Sign 'outstanding' Striker-A Realistic Bet?

    West Ham United are reportedly now close to securing the signing of Chelsea's Armando Broja, was dubbed an 'outstanding' striker by Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl. The 20-year-old Albanian international having spent a season on loan at St Mary's, scoring nine goals in 30 appearances in all competitions. Havng had a £40 Million bid for Connor Gallagher rejected by the Stamford bridge 'hedge fund', Hammers are now in realistic territory.

    West Ham's Interest and Competition

    Broja has been on West Ham's radar for a while as David Moyes looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of a Europa Conference League campaign. The Hammers are yet to make a signing thus far, but are 'confident' that is all about to change, Broja IS a realistic target whereas others being mooted seem remote at the very least.

    Unfortunately Hammers face competition from Everton, who are also in the market for a striker since selling Richarlison to Tottenham for £60m. The Toffees are said to be preparing a rival bid for Broja, who has told Chelsea that he wants a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.

    The Odds in the Transfer Market

    As the anticipation for Broja's potential move heats up, fans and stakeholders take to various platforms to speculate on the outcome. In this high-stakes game, akin to a casino, everyone is looking to place their bets correctly on where the talented striker will end up.

    Chelsea's Reluctance and Broja's Ambition

    Chelsea are reluctant to lose Broja, who is regarded as one of their most promising academy graduates. The youngster signed a new five-year contract with the Blues last year, but he is keen to play regular first-team football and needs a clear path under Thomas Tuchel's replacement Mauricio Pochetino. Chelsea has already strengthened their attacking options by splurging big on the likes of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson from Ajax among others. The outgoingGerman coach also had Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech at his disposal, leaving little room for Broja.

    West Ham's Offer and Broja's Potential

    West Ham are hoping to take advantage of Broja's situation and lure him to the London Stadium with the promise of more game time and European football. The Hammers have submitted an improved offer of £30m plus add-ons for the striker and are apparently close to agreeing personal terms with him. Broja would be an ideal fit for West Ham's style of play, as he is a powerful, pacey and clinical finisher who can also hold up the ball and link up with his teammates. He has been compared to Lukaku by some observers, and has already shown his potential at both club and international level.

    Of course the 'elephant in the room' is that Broja has only recently returned from a serious ACL injury that could have ruined his career, so IF he does sign for West Ham his medical will need to be comprensive, especially given Hammers record of signing 'crocks'.

    Broja's International Career

    Broja debuted for Albania in September 2020, scoring on his first appearance against Belarus. He has since scored four more goals in 10 caps for his country, including a brace against San Marino in The World Cup qualifiers.

    Interest from Other Clubs

    Broja's impressive ppre-injury form attracted interest from several European clubs, including Newcastle, Napoli and Sassuolo. However, West Ham are confident they can win the race for his signature and complete their 'covert' move before the transfer window
    shuts on September 1.

    Potential for Further Deals

    If West Ham sign Broja, they could also pave the way for another deal involving one of their strikers. AS Roma are keen to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, but they must sell Edin Dzeko first. West Ham have been linked with Dzeko in the past, and could reignite their interest in the experienced Bosnian forward.

    Dzeko's Potential Contribution

    Dzeko would provide West Ham with more depth and experience in attack, as he has scored over 200 goals in his career for clubs such as Manchester City, Wolfsburg and Roma. He could also mentor Broja and help him develop into a top-class striker.

    West Ham's Aspirations and Fan Expectations

    West Ham fans hope their club can pull off these deals and strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The Hammers finished sixth in the Premier League the season before last, their best-ever finish and will be looking to make up for the lack of domestic success last season.

    Looking Forward

    West Ham fans deserve some fun after supporting their team through thick and thin. They will be hoping that Broja can join them soon and help them reach new heights in the form of winning the Europa League having already won the competition's less significant 'cousin', The Europa Conference League lsat time out.

    Two weeks from the start of the season and still no sight of a signing......thought this guy from Citeh was meant to of signed by now nope now you hear that the bid we made for JWP is £17million what a joke why would the Saints accept that?....Moyes saying its difficult because we went to Australia so unable to do deals till we get back home and whilst he knows and loves his relationship with Noble he does not no Steidten that well yet and that takes time....so in other words i don't give a shit what he says i will sign the players and nobody else has a say...its central defender here
    central defender there ffs we need a left back what about midfield and upfront thats the priority not another bloody winger...this season may MAY i say start with a win but after that its Brighton we all know whats going to happen there and then Chelski and we all know Moyes will draw a line in the sand there normally about five ten yards outside our own box and dont dare cross it or think of attacking.

    Sullivan to busy getting his you no what polished to care then when we are back in the bottom half and the club struggling everyone will be throwing there hands up in the air saying how's that happened we didn't see that coming well we wont field strong team in the league cup as staying in the prem is our priority and so the whole rotten circus carries on season in season out i am so fed up with this shit its the same every year......so once a few panic buys been made they will take a year to bed in and as fans sorry to say we are just looking at the before during and aftermath of a huge pileup on the motorway.......what a circus and the only way you can kill off a circus is go for the juggler.......seasons not started and had enough of the crap coming out of our club....

    Fan wise without a doubt but all the club sees is a way to make money off of the "massive" and stuff it on shirts cups etc...but where it really matters those in charge do not believe it they still see us as small fry when compared to those other London clubs and on the managing/coaching/playing side they do not believe we are good enough to be up there hence every game we play its more like preserving the point than going for all three.

    so are we massive?

    With the new season about to start. We need to know what is happening at our beloved club. European success should have been a springboard to take the club to a new level. But for some reason not only has the handbrake been applied. The club seems to have slammed into reverse.
    Is the club a victim of the success of David Moyes leading us to European glory? Was it Sullivan's intention to sack Moyes at the end of the season? But a trophy winning season has made it impossible? Is a takeover in the hoping. Are the club reluctant to invest because of this? Whatever. The club is not equipped to go into the new season with the current players. A strong start is imperative. Hoping a lesson has been learned from last season. If it has not a repeat performance in the league might not be so fortunate.

    'Steinman can sendero' a Daichi transfer rocket across the bows of HMS Moyes! 

    Even the Moysasaurus in blind mode would have to admit that Daichi Kamada is a top top player, having experienced first hand what a pocket rocket Kamada is as the Japanese International helped Frankfurt play Hammers off the park in the season before last's Europa League semi final.

    The inevitable rumors of a 'frosty' relationship between Davis Moyes and Tim Steidten have already started to surface with Moyes unhappy about buying players who don't have Premier League experience, as opposed to Steidten's data driven player appraisals.

    However surely even Moyes would have to agree that Daichi Kamada would be an incredible free agent signing. The only issue is that attacking midfield is probably the ONLY area that Hammers are actually well catered for, but it should be remembered that Said Benrahma WILL certainly be away for the Africa Cup of Nations and will be there for the length of the Tournament, as will Nayef Aguerd.

    As the club WILL be playing Thursday Sunday for the third season in a row there will be a need for comprehensive cover in all positions so the signing of Daichi Kamada would make perfect sense.

    As Kamada is available on a free, it would be possible to pay him the sort of wages unavailable anywhere else apart from the Pariah states league. He is the correct age 27 and would bring energy, guilee and enthusiasm to the team as it undergoes it's rebuilding from an ageing creaking squad.

    Moyes may be stubborn, but he is NOT stupid, so come on Mrs Moyes, tell Moysie to "get with ze program" - Ed
