    Fellow relegation strugglers Leicester City fired their manager Brendan Rodgers just before Hammers vital home game against bottom of the table Southampton, whereas West Ham filled their Stadium with \nervous' support sweeping to a victory that will ensure David Moyes' tenure at least until the end of this season.

    Fine margins sometimes define outcomes and Rodgers will likely feel hard done by at getting the tin tack, a beleaguered David Moyes was able to 'smile a little' as he digested a 'good result', while at the same time sympathising with Rodger's fate which could well have applied to the fellow Scot.

    As it is, the table doesn't lie and while Hammers are still in a really precarious position it seems as if the footballing Gods have smiled on Moyes and dumped on Rodgers. The new signings, particularly Emerson and Pacqueta were a cut above and deserved the standing ovations they received when Dino finally made some late substitutions.

    Ings ran a round in Circles against his former club, but was mostly ineffectual, you play one up front and you get what you pay for. The game cried out for two up front, if that had been the case Hammers could have romped home, they weren't that good, but Southampton really WERE that bad!

    A win against a struggling Southampton side means very little, but THREE desperately needed points does. Moyes DID ensure his defenders kept Ward-Prowse at bay and for that fans should be grateful, but he is currently the manager, isn't he? Perhaps he could maybe ask his players to forget all the negativity he has enshrined in the squad and get them to play forwards instead of sideways and backwards! - Ed

    Don't and that is Don't give fouls away around our box thats inviting obvious trouble......start the game on the FRONT foot and with pace close down the opposition quick force them into mistakes and oh yeah how about two upfront! Naaaa i dont expect to see any of that but come on the results were not that bad yesterday so COYI lets have a big win today and fly us up the table

    Now that the club are facing a six point deduction, Biill Kenright has decided to reappoint David Moyes as manager of Everton.

    Recent financial regularities have made the Merseyside club vulnerable to investigation and evryone at the club fear the worst!

    There will be no need for compensation as West Ham seem to have finally realised the extreme jeopardy of their own club while Moyes is still in charge!

    He will be at home back where he started in the Premier League and everyone at West Ham wish him all the best in his latest managerial appointment.

    Mark Noble is expected to take charge for the crucial game against Southampton on Sunday and can be guaranteed an enthusiastic reception IRRESPECTIVE of the result. - Ed

  • No Agenda-Just Poor Form!

    Ahead of the weekend's crunch game against visitors Southampton there has been much media speculation as to exactly why West Ham seem hell bent of self destruction, the Board's resolute support of beleaguered manager David Moyes has gone form 'Loyal' to 'Loony' progressively to the point that NO ONE in their right mind who is any good woud want to rock up at the as yet unnamed Lnndon Stadium.

    The very fact that the Stadium naming rights still haven't been sorted out YEARS after the club moved from the Boleyn Ground is indicative of a 'disconnected' and destable club that is going nowhere fast! Only a complete fool would agree that a less than one in three win rate is acceptable, yet that is what the stats say and they DON'T lie.

    The 'Con Cup' successes in Europe should be seen as diversionary 'pain relief' as opposed to any progress under David Moyes, wins against comparative minnows have helped the Scot stay in his job whereas he would normally have been overthrown ages ago!

    Conspiracy theories abound as to why majority shareholder David Sullivan would watch his empire go up in flames while he 'twiddles' away! It is NOT in Sullivan's interest to see the club relegated in any way shape or form, but perhaps the untimely death of his partner in business for over 50 YEARS David Gold has had more of an effect than was first thought!

    Moyes has 'smooth talked' his way to the brink and now he jolly well should 'pull the cat out of the bag' and acquiesces to the reality of a need to change things up, URGENTLY.

    If Moyes persists with his 'my way or the highway' approach the only highway Hammers fans will be on will be the roads to Rotherham and beyond!

    Support the team on Sunday, but give Moyes both barrels after the game if he continues his blinkered approach, at least that way the players will know it is not just them who have failed the loyal supporters who turn up home and way, but the dinosaur who is 'not for turning'! - Ed

    The mess that is currently our club seems to get worse player unrest coach unrest a manager who cannot see the iceberg owners like ostriches and then the fans who seem to be an afterthought oh what a mess we are in and if we survive and that is by no means certain what then?

    Will the board feel vindicated by there stubborness to keep a manager that saved them will the coaches calm down will the players put it all behind them and if so is it not just a recipe to repeat what happens the following season?

    Our club is on the precipice and the future can look very bleak either way it tips the reputation of our club could take years to rebuild and i have often seen in the comments that we are a circus and the clowns are running it! so who in there right mind would want to come to our club on the playing side? and lets be honest here the only way we will attract the above average player now is by paying silly wages something i hoped was in the past but it will be our future now i fear.

    Players come and go and managers(hopefully) as well the fans are the only ones who can never leave and it is the fans that the foundations need to be built around but the fans well they are just customers and fools and there money are soon parted is the motto of many a football chairman.

    A couple of weeks back my family decided to treat me to a day out and look around my old stomping grounds many of which are unrecognisable from my youth but in most cases been improved for the better but when i was taken down Green Street to where the old Boleyn Ground stood it bought a tear to this old mans eyes what happened happens a lot they call it progress time moves on stands still for no man and so on and so forth but the heart was ripped out of the community and it feels empty.

    Part of my day out was a Stadium tour of the new ground i admit to being a bit overwhelmed at the size of the place.The young lady who was taking us on the tour was very nice but seemed to me like its just a job not a passion and West Ham was only part of the Stadium as plenty of other events happen not just football.

    After the tour i have to admit i feel like i have lost a dear friend,Big and flashy the new place may look but dig underneath it is just not West Ham and it most certainly is not a football ground of course i am looking at it from my generation and not many of those are left now and a new set of fans who will of never known the Boleyn ground step forward i wish them all the best but i know in my heart of hearts they will never experience the true nature of what our great club once was because it was part of the community and now it is just a commodity for the rich to tinker with.

    The enforced International break came just t the right or wrong time for West Ham, depending on what happens next? The time has allowed the board to 'consider all their options' with regards to David Moyes continued tenure as manager as well as allowing some of the club's players to go put an 'express themselves' for their teams.

    The latter returned mixed fortunes for the club's players with Gianluca Scammacca being the one who missed out the most! Vlad Coufal DID get the chance to impress for the Czech Republic, but AGAINST the orders of the club's doctors and 'Pacman' got rubbish reviews in the Brazilian Press despite providing an assist during the game for which he was so highly criticised.

    Sunday's crunch game against Southampton is a REAL SIX POINTER, a term normally reserved for top or bottom of the table games, but this really is a six pointer that could have truly MASSIVE implications, a home win could see Hammers reach the heady heights of 12th place depending on other results, defeat couls send the club into a downward spiral that looks difficult to get out of, so tight is this season's Premier League battle for survival!

    Of course many will say that it is virtually inconceivable that the club should find itself embroiled in the dog fight at the bottom of the league when the original expectation, given the well funded new recruitments, was to be battling for a top sixth or seventh place again.

    West Ham are the ONLY club in the bottom seven to have NOT sacked their manager, others who have are now well away from danger. It is too late to sack Moyes now, or is it? Defeat on Sunday would provide the 'last chance saloon' moment to oust the dour Scot. However the fixtures following the Saints game are daunting to say the least, so if someone new was brought in they would have to do a hell of a 'fire job' just to keep the club afloat!

    We titled this article sack race Sunday, but judging by the MOUNT OF 'COMPETITORS' already out of the picture it appears Dino Moyes may have NO competition at all. Of course the fans will be there in force and are intelligent enough to know that any negativity they feel about the manager can be reserved until after what is after all a crucial game.

    It will definitely be a Saints or Sinners day! - Ed

    So the rumour mill has started,players that are expected to leave if we get relegated.Rice is going anyway,Scam back to Italy obviously but the ones I have issue with - Pac will leave if we are relegated,to be expected but hardly ripped up trees 50 mill,will be lucky to get 30! Antonio to leave also,got some front imo.if youre part of the problem at least have the bollox to try & put it right!

    Tonight England face Italy for their European Championship Qualifying Group C game at The Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, a game that promises to feature two if not three Hammers players. Declan Rice lines up for England against Roberto Mancini's Italian team that will most likely feature Emerson Palmieri and Gianluca Scamacca.

    Scamacca is in desperate need of 'positive' playing time in front of an enthusiastic International manager who believes in him, as opposed to his experiences at West Ham where he has hardly had a look under David Moyes in since his £35 Million summer transfer from ‎Sassuolo.

    Emerson as he likes to be called has come on leaps and bounds since he replaced Aaron Cresswell in Hammers starting line up, the £14 Million left back has slotted in nicely since his move across London from Chelsea and will be looking to test England's defence as he bombs forward.

    Facing Hammers Italian duo will be their club captain Declan Rice, who has come in for severe criticism from yet another pundit who is green with envy of today's players because they earn more in a month than they did in a year when they played! Grame Souness and Roy Keane have both had their 'little digs' regarding Declan, the envious twosome should perhaps look more to themselves when it comes to their broadcasting presentation, which is essentially to trash current day players, than picking on players who are too polite to their elders to call them out!

    Dino Moyes will be hoping his players don't get injured during the game, whereas Hammers fans will watch with delight as they will be able to see their players perform free of 'Dino's' rigid discipline for once. Back in the day, International games were rather boring for Iron's fans because the club had very few International players, now it is very different.

    Hammers have a dozen players representing their various countries, which is a good old chunk of the squad. They are good enough to be selected by the managers of their countries and yet struggle to get game time under Moyes, funny that isn't it? Well it would be funny if it wasn't a painful example of how disconnected and disenfranchised they are domestically as opposed to Internationally.

    Hopefully they will all return injury free, perhaps 'Moyes might actually be inspired when he sees his players playing with a freedom and commitment they find difficult to do with him as their coach, you never know, he might even start to use them properly! - LN
