    coming in but most is the media taking the mick, the one that does look like it could happen is Kalvin Phillips, yes the same bloke that two seasons ago knocked us back because he wanted a big club. The loan price is 7 million and the wages are 130,000 a week for 4 months which totals nearly 9 million for a player with a massive injury record. The thing that really worries me is who will Moyes bench to make way for him, Soucek he never drops or subs whether he is having a good game or a shit game. JWP who he relies on for his corners and free kicks which at the moment are hit and miss or Alvarez who is a Steidten import and is the first player he takes of each game. For me I would rather us bring in someone that can be a good cover for Alvarez and hopefully if Moyes new contract doesn’t happen can replace Soucek.

    5th place gets you a champions league spot this season(probably a play off)The club Lorded the move to the BOM so we can compete in the transfer market and go for champions league football.

    So here we are 6 points behind the spuds and gooners and a game in hand on the spuds and yet we have so far failed to strengthen the side which will be needed in the coming months dues to injuries and Europe.

    If the club truly believe in what they have often said then it is now they have to produce...Chelski/manure/barcodes now with the money all having poor seasons so this may be the only chance we get to play in such an iconic competition and yet here we are dragging our feet.

    Reports have said that we do not have to worry about FFP as we are well within the boundary so what is the problem? and with Moyes taking an age to bed players in the chance could slip through our fingers......for once West Ham do not let this dream fade and die COYI

  • Not Fit To Wear The Shirt(S)

    Back in the day, it was not uncommon for a certain player to run on the pitch at the Boleyn to be greeted with a chorus of "you're not fit to wear the shirt" within a couple of minutes of taking to the field.

    Of course over the years the player's name changed but the sentiment remained the same, wearing the Claret and Blue was an absolute honour and one that a player had to be well and truly proud of!

    The game has changed beyond recognition since then, home grown players are virtually non existent and loyalty is for the length of the contract signed at the most! However, last night's abysmal performance against championship side Bristol City showed up three individuals who were NOT fit to wear the shirt!

    Danny Ings, Aaron Cresswell AND Said Benrahma should NEVER wear the Claret and Blue ever again unless it is for Burnley or Villa and neither of those clubs are stupid enough to contemplate signing ANY of the 'bad bunch'!

    Indeed, Villa's hierarchy still have reserved in their calendar 'thirsty thursday', which is for a monthly drink up to 'commemorate' selling Ings to the Irons!

    No wonder youth players don't want to stay at a club that offers them bugger all but pays massive wages for totally useless players! "Not fit to wear the shirt? "Not fit to clean the boots of the youth players" more like! - Ed

    Pundits experts everyone pulling there hair out over the deplorable way Everton and now Forest are being treated by the Premier league and they are being persecuted needlessly.

    Utter Utter Rubbish they are being punished for breaking rules which all 20 premier league clubs signed up to and agreed to abide to. If the punishment was a fine and a warning would we be hearing about this would it be such a drama? of course not but because the punishment has been a large points deduction they are all pulling there hair out over it and this proves that it is a better way to punish than a fine which is pocket change for clubs in the Premier league.

    Now the argument is that the rules are out of date and that the £105million bar that you must not go over in a three year period is way to low in todays market and whilst that is a valid point it does not change the fact that again every club in the league had to sign up to the current rules and not one seems to have raised this argument before but now the reality of points being deducted is here this argument being used.

    What about Citeh what about Chelski is another smokescreen being used but again while i agree feet have been dragged over these clubs being punished it has been said that these are different to the laws that Everton&Forest have been charged under and again without doubt the very best legal representation teams like that can afford i think all the i's and t's being dotted and crossed checked and checked again before those cases are heard.

    So to summarise i have know problem with the punishment being dealt out if it is shown that clubs are not following the rules that they have all agreed on and that the punishment must be harsh to hammer home the point to those who may think they can hide and financial Shenanigans

  • Lingard NOT An Option-But It's Dejavu For Broja!

    What is it with West Ham? Past serial offenders in the transfer market, the club look to have finally turned the corner with the appointment of Tim Steidten to oversee transfers, hoping to NEVER repeat the sort of deal that brought 'uncle' Danny Ings to the club in a deal that still sees the Aston Villa board opening each of their meetings with a 'rousing cheer' for the 'operative' who set the deal in motion!

    When rumours that the club were 'investigating' bringing free agent Jesse Lingard back to the club, they were instantly stifled by the 'Steidten' who uses the club's media outlets to 'drip feed' the information that he wants made public.

    On the other hand Hammers dalliances regarding acquiring Armando Broja from Chelsea now look to cost the club a pretty penny! Broja has been a Hammers target for ages, but due to Hammers' recalcitrant and low ball approaches remained at Stamford Bridge despite being desperately unhappy there, a situation made worse due to his personal relationship with Pochetino which is frosty to say the least!

    Hammers are going to have to 'box clever' and 'dig deep' if they are going to prise Broja away from a Chelsea club that are notoriously difficult to put deals together with due to the fact that they have usually been absolutely shafted in the deal that took the player to their club, however Broja is 'home grown' and as such any funds received for him will be written down a 'pure profit' which is excellent for a club like Chelsea who will sooner or later be facing the 'grim reaper' of the FFP tribunal.

    This deal is a no brainer as far as Hammers are concerned, Broja would be able to fill ANY of the gaps up front and would be an obvious replacement for Big Mikey Antonio when he eventually retires, it is just a question of number crunching and 'creative' accounting, and of course a massive hit cause by 'Frankenstrin's hair line!

    Go on Mr Sullivan, do this deal and all the others will fall into place and maybe, just maybe an automatic Euro slot for next season. It is such a pity that David Gold has been unable to be with us to witness Hammers 'rise from the ashes', but while he may not be her in person you can bet your Ivan Toney that he is here in spirit! - Ed

    This was a post I saw on a Facebook Group and generally were on the Jesse Lingard case ( probably due to our injury/AFCON crisis and the fact that he is a freebie.)
    It actually got me to thinking and I can remember very few loanees actually. I recall getting excited when Robbie Keane came in but turned out disappointing to be honest, and I must admit I forgot about Dawson whose name was dropped further down the comments, probably because we ended up actually buying him.
    So I wondered if you guys had any ideas on other players. For the record, I thought that our best loan signing ( very unpopular with the Hammers fans of the time as I recall) was David Speedie.

    Nine days in and West Ham admit that the three man committee of Sullivan Steiden Moyes have yet to make any decisions on who they are looking to recruit but admit more loans than permanent as "January" is always a difficult window.

    Antonio out for another 6 weeks they are saying...Kudus away Pacman and Bowen nothing being said how bad there injuries are or are not alongside Mavrapanos the perfect storm is arriving and at the wrong time for a manager who only plays his favourites and anyone else he just leaves on the bench until he is forced to use them.

    Chickens have come home to roost now for the club and there transfer policy which has left us with a wafer thin squad who have a lot of talented youngsters who the manager does not want to blood and players who the manager wants out of the club and will not use unless forced to do so...and that is the situation we now have.

    Once again the Club on the verge of doing something special will shoot themselves in the foot the team will slide down to midtable and come the summer Pacman will be off and Kudus and Bowen not far behind and Alvarez to leaving the club with Soucek Zouma and Ogbonna to excite the fans....
