  • Tim Steid's 10 Deals

    Hammers transfer supremo Tim Steidten is juggling with the limited finances and assets available to him in order to facilitate as many as TEN signings, both in and out of the club. Whether the deals can be got over the line before February the 1st is debatable, but he seems determined to give it a good try!

    The deal to acquire the much sought after Kalvin Phillips from Champions Man City is very close to fruition, with just a few not too difficult details to finalise. It appears there are incoming player deals being investigated that include AZ Alkmaar right back Yukinari Sugawara.

    There is also strong interest in Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia and Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman. However before fans get too 'loved' up about the impending arrivals it should be recognised that virtually ANY player movement will have to be done on a quid pro quo basis in order to satisfy stringent FFP rules!

    Unfortunately, Hammers don't exactly have many high value players to move on to finance the impending deals, however there IS genuine interest In Said Benrahma despite his recent poor performances and for some reason clubs are actually interested in Aaron Cresswell AND 'Uncle' Danny Ings!

    Michael Antonio despite his age is coveted. and Thilo Kehrer will make his loan move permanent. It looks as though 'homegrown' Ben Johnson will also be on his way this window otherwise he can leave on a free transfer in June.

    There is also substantial interest in Lukasz Fabianski fro the Arab League and it might suit all parties for him to sign a lucrative 18 month deal before the window closes. Getting 'decent' deals over the line in the January window is always fraught with issues, but as Hammers will be both a buying and selling club they should have a unique opportunity to exploit the market.

    David Sullivan appears to fully trust Tim Steidten, who along with the backroom staff he has assembled seems to be hauling Hammers transfer approach dragging and screaming into this century, long may it last! - Ed

  • Final piece of the puzzle

    I think Kalvin Phillips signing is one of the final pieces of the puzzle we need in the team. Don’t know much about this Osman but he comes from the same Academy as Kudus so more of that please. I’m liking the current recruitment strategy and this trio are making some good progress. Nothing is ever a given obviously and players we think will do well sometimes don’t and visa versa. Also we seem to be buying better than what we have, which creates competition. I wouldn’t mind a cheeky bid for Almiron either, a god back up option for Kudus and Paqueta and better than Fornals and Benrahma. Anyway fairly happy Hammer atm, and the board are certainly backing the management staff

  • VAR Yesterday-The Truth!

    Those attending the 'viagra and acid' rave down at Stockley Park were 'well impressed' by the lavish spread laid on by Robert Jones enterprises who specialise in 'elite' VIP parties for privileged footballers and Z list 'soshall' media celebrities.

    " The light show was fantastic " said one female party goer who was still able to string a cohesive sentence together, but he friend summed up the party atmosphere by saying Jones's body make up stole the show!

    Various ex-commentators and pundits who have found themselves out of a job in recent times guested on the turntables, they put together a rousing sounds of a generation compilation of songs which included "who's sorry now"!

    All in all a wonderful time was had by all those who attended, under a strict confidentiality basis, there was however a bit of confusion at the very end when the AI machine developed a fault towards the very end of the match, but as usual the hosts said that there was nothing to worry about because the match had only involved two SMALL clubs.

    What is the point of this organisation when all they seem to do is apologise for officials mistakes instead of training them better so they do not.

    1..linesman 2 yards away ref with clear view of Brewsters dangerous tackle and after the players get handbags out a yellow card produced which VAR rightfully said no its a Red so why did the ref not deal with it properly.

    2..Sheff utd penalty......apparently elbowing the keeper makes it a penalty and VAR said yeah no problem with that!

    3..Bowen rugby tackled or WWE slammed to floor his arm comes up ball hits it oh thats handball free kick to Sheff UTD and VAR did not even question it.

    That is just a few of the issues from our game but it goes on at everygame and nothing ever seems to be done to try and cut down on this.

    If you speak out you get fined or banned so managers do not say anything on TV for fear of that but how weak and paranoid must the PGMOL and the Premier League be if they do not allow criticism to be heard.

    PGMOL is not fit for purpose...professional refs and linesman paid a good wage and yet time and again they seem paralysed with fear making the "big" decisions that they are paid to make whether it is on the pitch or in the bloody VAR studio.

    These decisions have consequences for clubs at the top and bottom of the league but shush now you cannot mention it...and so tomorrow the usual "i don't know why he made that decision" when its clear its a penalty a red cardhe got it wrng we apologise etc and so it goes on to next weekend when more of the same will come about no doubt.

  • What's Happened To Pablo?

    Once an ever present 'sparky' adopted 'Cockerney' who lit up the pitch while wearing the Claret & Blue, Pablo Fornals has descended into a shadow of the player he once was. His performace today against Sheffield Utd was truly woeful and followed on from his previous awful performances against Bristol City and Brighton.

    Gone are his bursting runs and Duracell bunny running from box to box, his eye for a goal has completely left his repertoire, instead being replaced with a sideways or backwards pass that invariably puts a team mate in trouble.

    He even makes Aaron Cresswell look competent! It is such a shame that things have allowed to become so entrenched. He is obviously unhappy at the club and wants a move to Spain desperately, but that doesn't excuse the incredibly lame performances he has exhibited when given the chance to feature for the first team, which have admittedly been very limited, but the man is a professional footballer who is paid handsomely to go out and perform to the best of his ability, something he clearly has not been doing of late.

    It is possibly the fault of the management team that they have not been able to sufficiently motivate the player, but he SHOULDN'T need motivating! Has 'Chicken' Kev not given him a rocket or arm round his shoulder to get a reaction?

    Unfortunately Pablo Fornals is playing like a man who is totally out of love with the club and just wants out as SOON as possible! It is a pity, one would have thought he would have grabbed the opportunity of the extra playing time made available to him because of the Africa Cup of Nations, if only from a pride point of view.

    Hi fellow Hammers. It has been some time since I've contributed to the Org and I am talking years. I always enjoyed the comments and the craic.
    As usual West Ham never fail to excite us or frustrate us and like us all I am still waiting 44 years for that FA Cup win.
    What can I say about David Moyes, he's had success, even though the way he does it can sometimes frustrate fans. Prague has been one of the highlights.
    This season we are doing ok and still in Europe.
    Today against Sheffield utd we had a touch of European rugby at the end. VAR must have been on the way home when that happened.
    When we have our first 11 fit, we can put it up to anybody.
    I look forward to reading all your comments and contributing going forward.

    coming in but most is the media taking the mick, the one that does look like it could happen is Kalvin Phillips, yes the same bloke that two seasons ago knocked us back because he wanted a big club. The loan price is 7 million and the wages are 130,000 a week for 4 months which totals nearly 9 million for a player with a massive injury record. The thing that really worries me is who will Moyes bench to make way for him, Soucek he never drops or subs whether he is having a good game or a shit game. JWP who he relies on for his corners and free kicks which at the moment are hit and miss or Alvarez who is a Steidten import and is the first player he takes of each game. For me I would rather us bring in someone that can be a good cover for Alvarez and hopefully if Moyes new contract doesn’t happen can replace Soucek.
