" I haven't done well enough "

Submitted by Red Neck Iron on Fri, 08/12/2017 - 17:34

Well there you have it, Sullivan has stated he hasn't done well enough at West Ham after an interview with a guardian journalist. No sh1t Sherlock! You can see why this guy has made it to where he is! I haven't seen the whole interview just excerts of it and yes you have guessed it it makes him look even more of an idiot! One particular bit that made me laugh was how he says the big players always want to know where you play before deciding. Does he mean players we couldn't attract to Upton Park? Player like ayew and arnautovic who are our big money signings the last 2 seasons? Players that played at the Britannia and liberty stadium but wouldn't dream of playing at U.P. Or maybe he means joe hart? Well at least we can look forward to those 3 tearing up the park this season then because we moved.

Handbags And Communication Breakdown-Not Led Zep!

West Ham say the dispute with Sporting Lisbon over their summer pursuit of Portugal's William Carvalho was caused by a "breakdown in communication" and the matter has now been resolved.

Sporting said they were going to report the Hammers to Fifa for an illegal pursuit of the 25-year-old midfielder.

The Portuguese club also made personal comments about West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold.

"Friendly relations between the clubs will resume," said a Hammers statement.

In September, West Ham said they made a bid for the Portugal defensive midfielder and released emails that claim to show their official approach.

But Sporting's communications director Nuno Saraiva questioned the validity of the leaked emails, which purport to show a 25m euros (£22.8m) offer, as well suggestions Sullivan was called a "liar" and a "parasite" in a Facebook post.

West Ham refuted the claims, called them "attention seeking", and considered legal action.

However on Tuesday the Premier League club said: "West Ham and Sporting acknowledge that a breakdown in communication based in contacts between representatives from both clubs in respect of a possible transfer of William Carvalho was the cause of a misunderstanding.

"Subsequent to this, the clubs have had positive communications and the matter is now resolved. On this basis, there will be no barriers to both clubs negotiating or working together in the future."

Adrian Must Be The Keeper For Derby Clash With Chelsea

Barring catastrophic injury the vast majority of West Ham fans know exactly who should be in goal for the weekend London derby against Chelsea at the London Stadium, the man who performed so well against Manchester City Adrian San Miguel!

No one gave Hammers' a prayer ahead of the match at the Etihad, but despite relentless pressure Adrian stood firm, admittedly he eventually conceded two goals to perhaps the best team in Europe but what would the score have been if England's current number one goalkeeper Joe Hart had been eligible to play against his parent club? Indeed West Ham nearly pulled off what would have been the biggest result of the season in the Premier League had they managed to hold on to the lead given to them courtesy of Manchester City's Achilles heal, the set piece. A short corner swept in by Aaron Cresswell was headed firmly in to the goal by Angelo Ogbonna much to the consternation of the home crowd and their animated manager. He must have given them quite a Pep Talk at half time because they came out guns blazing and few doubted that they would go on to equalise and more than likely win by a hat full of goals. Before the match you could have got 75 - 1 on City to win by five goals, the odds with most betting sites had West Ham at 80 - 1 to win 1 - 0, alas it wasn't to be, but the spirit and determination that the players selected by new Hammers manager David Moyes showed bodes well for the future. There will be a few 'senior' players who have seen the writing on the wall as it is obvious that Moyes' style of play demands maximum physical effort, a complete juxtaposition of the regime players had got used to under Slaven Billic, younger players like Rice, Fernandez and Martinez will feature more and more, and what's the betting that he recalls Reece Oxford back from his loan spell in Germany?

David Moyes has been around the managerial block long enough to know the value of the '12th' man, and what better way to get the crowd at the London Stadium on board than to include the immensely popular Adrian in goal? It is not as if he is going to do a whole lot worse than the man he replaced for the City game, Hart has let in an average of over two goals for every game, a bundle more than Adrian has conceded and it's not just conceding goals that is Hart's problem. The crowd at the London Stadium have been quick to target Joe Hart, so that every time there is a back pass there is more negativity than there would usually be, this of course influences the players' decisions so that on the occasions where a back pass is full justified they may not make the correct decision in order to appease the crowd. Manchester City made plenty of back passes in the closing stages of the match, incidentally they also played for the corner flag for the last four minutes, a sequence of play that those incredibly biased and annoying Sky commentators conveniently conspired to have collective amnesia about!

Potential Bananna Skin For Hammers In FA Cup 3rd Round

West Ham United have been drawn away from home to Shrewsbury Town in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Shrewsbury have cup pedigree and could present a difficult challenge to David Moyes as he seeks to avoid the ignominy of an early FA Cup exit. During 2002 to 03 Shrewsbury enjoyed an FA Cup run, after dispatching non-league sides Stafford Rangers and Barrow, they won at home against Moyes' old team Everton in the third round in front of 7,800. Chelsea were the fourth round visitors, in a televised match on BBC's Match of the Day. Town lost 0–4, with Gianfranco Zola the man of the match.
Playing away against teams that are viewed as plucky minnows is inherent with danger, despite it's recent demise in fortune West Ham is still regarded as a big club, a big scalp, so some of West Ham's over paid luvvies may be forced to roll up their sleeves in order to take on a team that will be determined to achieve an upset, mind you some fans would question why defeat could be considered an upset bearing in mind what a garbage season it has been thus far! - Ed

I think its clear why Moyes doesnt fancy him. We've all be crying out for him to start but from what I saw yesterday he's just not bothered. He obviously wanted out in the summer, and he wants out still. If he had scored the equaliser it would have been for him, not for us. We really need to get rid.
