so within 24 hours of being linked with two strikers now its gray of burnley and javier hernandez. I know we cant believe what we read even if it is on skysports. you could say at least we're trying to lure every forward in the world bar ANTKB to the club but it does smack of the usual unprepared fishing trawler routine of every season.

those two have price tags of £15million for gray as he is in last year of his contract and hernandez has a buy out clause of £13million so although a girl and blonde i make that £28million which is £7million less than what they reckon we will pay for bats at £35million...two proven scorers in the premier league for peanuts if there is any truth in these rumours then surely its the kind of money that the board would not mind spending and would leave cash for tweaking other areas of the squad.
at least Gray would not have to change kits.
hernandez may be the better striker and has something to prove, but the two together = 20 goals, not 20 each.

I'd kinda be happyish on both these as its pointless getting high expectatations, so I'd be happy with someone who can score a few goals and stay fit! Having said that Hernandez can't play up top on his own, he won't hold the ball up. So is it just bad planning again or is bilic playing 2 upfront? I'd say if we don't play 2 upfront why buy Hernandez? shades of zaza.

I thought Gray looked good against us in the final game. Always looked keen and dangerous. A modern day Dean Ashton. Same build same hunger!! It's a yes from me!!
