We need to talk about the Boleyn Insider

Submitted by Gerus on Mon, 24/08/2015 - 16:15

I've been itching to have a go at that ridiculous column from the moment it came to be. Bang out of order. It genuinely looks like our official site looks like a children's playground where Jack Sullivan can share his well know opinions and how his dad's gonna do everything possible to sign almighty footballing stars. Then you have this abomination. An ITK from the official website. Blimey that's not right is it? And with time it gets more and more humiliating. We are given some sort of dim information about supposed transfers. This surely is a mockery of how a Premier league football club should go about their business....

IMO... for what ever that is worth :o)

I think (and sure hope) Saturday was a one off. The two full backs had nightmares and this was from two players who last season were excellent.

I am a little concerned that Jenkinson has in his pocket a four year deal with Arse and I think for that motivating him in the future is a worry.

I think we badly miss Downing, last season imo he was again class, could open a defense and attack from out wide, we are clearly missing this type of player and Im not hearing from MDF Towers that we look interested in finding a replacement which is socking.

Not having Morgan Amalfitano available to come off the bench and make a difference. He is an impact player that has certainly had an impact on Bilic :o)

We missed Adriano, the replacement has a terrible history with The Cherries and this must have had an effect. Randolf didnt have a bad game but the lad is not Prem standard.

We played Nolan.... enough said!

We are a one man team at the moment, snuff out Payet and we have little to offer in attack.

Sakho, on another day he would miss the keeper and score.

Credit to Bournemouth, I thought they were unlucky against the Poo and we were always going to struggle against a well balanced quick pace team so long as you have mediocre slow midfield.

Ogbonna... early days but clearly the pace of the Prem is a problem.

Finally Allardyce, we have moved on, I didnt rate him BUT, credit to the man on MotD, that muppet Lineker was teeing the ball up for him to slag off West Ham and to his total credit he chose not to.... came up in my estimations.

In summary, its early days for Bilic, we have a sqaud that is just not good enough and needs addressing asap.

rant over, have a great Monday everybody :o)

Rob Green - why?

Submitted by Chippy Dave on Sun, 23/08/2015 - 20:11

I can't get my head around why we're trying to sign Rob Green, having seen Randolph play at the weekend I think he's plenty good enough to deputise for Adrian and Green won't come here to be third choice, so with money always an issue with the owners I'd ask why we're prepared to waste £50k a week, that is unless they're thinking of generating money by selling Adrian

Back to basics dare I say the Allardyce way.

Although I detest everything about the way we used to play under Allardyce it was obviously more simple for our defensive minded players and god knows we have a lot of them, so should our players be allowed to just smack the ball into touch when in doubt maybe too much emphasis is being made about playing football which some are obviously too slow or not ready for.

I cannot lie I am worried maybe its just the beginning of the season but once again our players look lost on the pitch and about as together as Prince Charles and Diana were, OK West Ham are not terrible but lack confidence pace want and basic understanding and awareness of what they are supposed to be doing. It could be that it will take time but do they have enough time to become what Bilic wants them to be and more to the point are they good enough to be able to do it competently at such a high level, I say its going to be a difficult season if Bilic thinks this bunch will learn petty quickly for a start he is playing some players out of position which is a pet hate for me, and I wont even mention the one who should never have started but did .

its only the third game in

please dont give them dipsticks on motd any amo to hammer us bout what a bunch of Muppet's we were to get rid of Alidyce , look at the players that are out and will have an impact when they return ,its going to take time to gel , i will say one thing though and im sick of saying it , the three amigos have to go , managers are on huge money and your telling me they cant see how u s they are ,? a blind crow with a frying pan up his arse could see it

That performance and result is not acceptable under any circumstances...the psychological scars are now there for any team to turn up at the Boleyn and roll us over. Bilic and the board need to do something before the window shuts. This situation will only get worse with some real toughies to come (citeh & poo away). This season could turn out to be a catastrophe if we are now relying on Maiga for goals....oh for those halcyion days of Carlton Cole and BFS.

Carroll setback

Submitted by edwindup on Fri, 21/08/2015 - 13:56

This has long gone beyond a joke. Carroll rolled an ankle putting on a pair of shoes! Now looking at October. Our injury crisis got worse after Zarate and now Oxford doubtful for Saturday. Still no new striker. Getting really depressing!
