Why is there still this "huge" controversy regarding the VAR decision to award West Ham the penalty against Man United?
https://sports.yahoo.com/howard-webb-admits-var-mistake-205000363.html
When there were atrocious decisions against West Ham in the past involving Man United it did not seem to be a big deal. Be it the ball going out of play on the sidelines and Pogba subsequently scoring, to steal the 3 points, or the abominable red card to Feghouli when he was the victim of that tackle from Phil Jones who did the roll on the ground theatrics. Then when memory served me right in the FA Cup from the past West Ham should have been awarded a penalty against Man United, but then the referee who waived it on, then awarded Man United a penalty for a similar tackle in the Hammers box. Was mind boggling then but no big deal to the pundits at that time. More recently against Chelsea, that goal by Cornet was overturned after Bowen was allegedly guilty of making contact with the Chelsea keeper. No contact in reality but that was water under the bridge after a 5 minute post match discussion. Another controversial red card was Balbuena after he cleared the ball and Chilwell ran into his outstretched foot. This and Feghouli's red cards were subsequently overturned.
But then no surprising when you watch Sky News and it is was all about Ten Haag after he was let go. To this day they keep on discussing it and the new appointee for hours on end. West Ham does get a mention when it is a reference to that controversial penalty!! When are they going to let bygones be bygones??
West Ham starting XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson; Rodriguez, Soucek; Bowen, Paqueta, Summerville; Antonio
Subs: Foderingham, Cresswell, Soler, Coufal, Mavropanos, Guilherme, Ings, Irving, Scarles
If fit i take Areola to start with Fabianksi slotting in as the sweeper both ball boys staying wide the tea lady been going strong with the PG this week so i see her flooding the box with early hot cross buns and Foderingham cruelly overlooked will be hoping to add extra strength to our midfield by being the anchor man and playing alongside a bunch of other anchors i just cannot see anything other than a punishing afternoon for the fans!
Lopoteugi sacked. This is on the horizon. It's not a case of if but a certainty when. Now I don't mean eventually. I mean within a game or two. I feel it's very close. So when he's sent down the road. What will be his legacy. By that, I mean who would you compare him to?
He has to be up there with some of our worst managers in history!
A couple that spring to mind straight away are Lou Macari and Avram Grant. To liken him to a player would have to be Allan McKnight-mare and Roberto 2 Bob.
Simply up there with some of the biggest dross our club have employed.
Brighton/Brentford/Bournemouth/Fulham/Forest.....All better Teams than us because they play as a Team and not individuals picked in the car park before kick off like our lot.
Forest not changed there back four for seven matches before yesterday and that consistency showed while we keep chopping and changing and mixing personnel and formation each week and it has proven to be a recipe for disaster.
Fans are not blind and regarding our points tally we are very lucky to have what we have....Fulham away was a very lucky point and we should of been stuffed there....Brentford a disaster of a start we just about managed to get a draw there Palace away we were woeful but Palaces luck was not on there side that day and we stole a victory Forest were not troubled when we had eleven on the park so what difference was it when we went down to ten...Spuds game a collapse of disastrous proportions but don't forget we crushed Ipswich oh yeah that side who were league one two seasons prior and the Manure game talk about lucky luck bastards it should of been at least 0-4 at HT.
The players do not have a clue about the gameplan put before them and neither does the manager and a translator being sort as he is finding it difficult to get his point across lol well done Sullivan employing someone who cannot grasp basic English.
The players need to stand up stop sulking and hiding they need to make it clear to Sullivan enough is enough and get that man out as we all know the manager is nothing when it comes to players as they are the real assets to the club albeit ever decreasing assets!.
Sullivan will be hiding trying to find nice things being said about him ha! good luck with that you want to be the main man you want to run the club well you are running it 100% into the ground....where are the other board members? even if you do not care about the club and just care about the dividends you pick up well they are going to be a lot smaller once we have gone down because make know mistake that is where we are going...so time to man up Sullivan and sack this incompetent fool you yes you appointed.
Do we have the players to make a difference if we appoint a new man? yes we do but things need to happen quickly....Everton next and its always awkward against them and following that its the barcodes and gooners and if Loppy is still here for those matches i can see nothing but Cricket scores happening what a dreadful mess all made by one man but of course it's not his fault he was doing what was best for the club...
Forest: Sels, Aina, Milenković, Murillo, Moreno, Yates (C), Domínguez, Gibbs-White, Elanga, Hudson-Odoi, Wood Subs: Carlos Miguel, Williams, Toffolo, Boly, Anderson, da Silva Moreira, Jota Silva, Sosa, Awoniyi
West Ham: Fabiański, Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson, Rodríguez, Álvarez, Paquetá, Summerville, Bowen (C) Subs: Foderingham, Coufal, Cresswell, Casey, Soler, Irving, Luis Guilherme, Antonio, Ings
Yes i think we all on this forum agree that it is the man at the helm holding back our clubs potential.
Amorim now at Manchester United and the Denial machine in full operation with everyone saying that we had not had an agreement after flying the man over to see everything and agree a contract. Then saying he did not have enough Experience and so Sullivan pulled the "non existent" plug on the deal and now that the biggest club in the country have appointed him some very red faces will be had at the club, Now i am not going to say the man will succeed i mean they are a basket case of a club and how will he cope with the instant must win pressure who knows but Sullivan once again had the chance and dropped the ball and the reason we all know is money £8million buyout against a freebie manager and in life as we all know you get what you pay for.
Add to the list Sullivans constant interfering in the transfer market specially when it comes to strikers and you just have to hold your head in your hands.
Ivan Toney turned down as £10million was deemed to much now Viktor Gyokeres who we could of got from Coventry for less than £20million seen as to much of a risk so Sporting Lisbon got him and now Man Utd/Arsenal/Liverpool all after him. Haller/Scamacca both released for silly money as they did not work(Moyes!) he'd rather keep the then manager instead of sacking him and getting in people who could work with two very talented players and so it goes on.
We moved to compete absolute Rubbish we moved to put coin in your pocket Sullivan and who cares you ripped the heart out of the club to do so.
Like an Ostrich this man will stick his head in the sand with all the noise going on around him and far be it from me to be Ageist but this man does not move with the times and an older colleague at work said he reminds him of Doug Ellis at Villa a man who i am told had to have his grip forcibly removed to get him out of Villa.
Right off to bed now that Girly night out and the Fish and chips have started to catch up hopefully i will be awake for another 90mins of torture later!.
Well El Tapas Twatas finally takes the Happy Hammers out on the road outside of the Capital.
It's been a long wait barring an excursion to bin dipperland for the Moose Cup. So the squad gets to sample hotel life. Coach journeys, aeroplane trips and whatever El Tapas Twatas organises for the jolly boys outings going forward. Who will room with who?
Will Lukey Paqueta be on his own so he can have a cheeky flutter? Will Lady Buttplug organise a spin the bottle session? Will our camaraderie improve and will our results improve?
I thank you..
Just checking in on how you are both doing....Noticed the West Ham V Chelski next fixture icon not changed and no that it matters i just wanted to check that you are doing well Nev? and i guess as a young man Louis is busy with other things other than just here so really just checking to see all is ok and if not is there anything we Orgers can do to help?.
